Good time to play them. Picking island bay to win on sunday, the artificial suits the way they play; their football was much slicker than welly united last weekend. Heard that cost some united players their positions for this weekend

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I watched a bit of Wests vs G's Cash Cow and I tell you what, Wests were woeful. With all due respect to the lads I know who play for them, they were minging.

Either need to start stacking the team now (like half the team), or give it away.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Half of us had been called up from the Cap 7 side due to a number of injuries and suspensions.  Thought we did alright considering we hadn't even had a training for years, and also taking into account wests ressies lost to them 9 nil in first round.  But yeah, its obviously not an ideal scenario having to call on a bunch of cap 7 30 & 40 + players.

Im seriously contemplating a move from cap 4 to (what i will assume will be) cap 6 next year. The Wests cap 7 side would beat most Cap 2 sides with ease in my opinion

The cap 7 guys did a good job limiting the damage but with it being 4-nil after about 20 mins, think united took their foot off the pedal somewhat. Also wests dropped the entire team back with no intention to attack. As a side point thats the 1st round so i dont know where the 9-0 results came from. Also emi got a hatrick, think one of those must has been donated to john o'driscoll on the scoresheet

Assuming we will take you.  We have a very stringent selection process.

Apologies, someone told me it was Wgtn United that beat wests 9 nil, obviously not.  I don't usually have any interest in Cap Prem.

Think it was Upper Hutt.

Island Bay v Oly should be a crack today. How many first teamers will turn out today.

Island Bay won 2-1. Both goals for IBU early in second half before IBU had centre-back red-carded (second yellow) with maybe 15-20 to go. Conceded goal almost straight away but managed to hold out.
Top of the table by 2 points with a game in hand now.

Referee was pretty card happy.energy24.72011-05-29 16:15:32

The way the cap prem team are going, it sounds like the cap 7 team will be looking for players. 6 start vs wgtn united yesterday and supposedly they are in need for another couple of weeks. Who do wests play next week?

Yes, it was Upper Hutt who spanked Wests prems 9-0 - 16 April - and yes that (Wn U) game was first round, the second starts this weekend.

If the second round is starting this weekend I guess its half time. Are Island bay playing well enough to make them favourites for the title? Seems like the other end of the table is already set, unlikely to change at all but looks like still 3 or 4 teams in with a shot at the top

How did island bay only put 1 goal past wainui? Perhaps resting a few players for mondays game?

Watched united at marist, fairly average game due to the terrible pitch but united never looked in trouble. Would depress the hell out of me having to play on that pitch every week though

Wainui 0 - Marist 0

Wests 1 - Karori - 1

Tight as a Scotsman at the bottom of the league. Blergh

Karori - Marist next week an absolute must win for both teams

Yes, both need to put some daylight between themselves and Wests before the end-of-season wholesale regrading from the Central League.

Couple of improved results for wests over the weekend though, has the player dropping started already?

the team today as far as i could tell was:

Jordy      Rocky    Mat Smith     Pretzel
                     Bartlett
            Abe               Musa
Jordan Cooper               J. Chettleburgh
                        Eddie
So, Chettleburgh and Musa from 1sts, although Musa was coming back from suspension, and Rocky and Pretz have been promoted from the cap 7 team. No outrageous team stacking, considering you're allowed 3 players down from the higher grade, and they had two games over the weekend and the firsts didn't play due to big cup weekend.
