I don't want to seem like I'm sl*gging people off but he plays for the WC 2nd XI, can play anywhere in the backline, 7th form this year. I think he played for Karori last year as well.
Personally I'd take Rhys Howe and Kere Kiwha myself or even Lou Williams-Gray from WC

I heard Darren Ahkoui had moved to Aussie and wasn't playing football this season.

Interesting that no-one has mentioned Petones chances this year with Coach of the year Fozzie in charge. Haven't seen their line-up yet, but I understand 5 of the first team are still eligible.

after petones performance last year i think its best to watch them in tournament rather than talk them up

Petone's 5 would be: McLay, Pickering, Messenger, Luke and someone.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

The 5th Petone player is Arraj

so Coll players are still going to Wgtn Utd even now that Ross cant hold them ransom for playing for the firsts and is not wanted by Utd next year (so I hear) anyway?

i think ross just gets them along to united with his usual charm - probably one of the most decent things to come out of wellington college - united should keep him, they wouldve seen more young coll and uni students in the last 2 years than ever before.

Maybe they go there because it's a good setup, they get good coaching, they like Ross and the club treats them well and they prefer that to other tin pot second tier clubs they could choose.

Not at all.  I find it hilarious that you're having a go at a good man at a good club just because nobody wants to play for the Wharf.

People in glass houses...

Ross is an excellent coach. If utd decided to get rid of him (which i very much doubt) it would be a huge mistake. Most wellington college boys live in zone so wellington utd is the closest biggest club they can aspire too, different clubs have different catchments anyway like st pats town-olympic tawa college-tawa etc etc. I very much doubt Ross has even approached anybody at wellington college to come play they come because they want to play for wellington utd end of.

what are you on about the wellington college zone ends at wellington hospital - the majority of students live in karori/wadestown/wilton/khandallah, so unless every wellington college footballer is somewhat disabled and lives in wellington hospital i wopuld suggest for most there closet club would be karori.

Safe to assume it fits in there somewhere.

Durant is good, leave him alone.  Gill is good as well.  And there are plenty of players to go around.  I'm sure the Wharf will have a good side and uncover some future first teamers that will push you into retirement sometime between now and your 40th!

No doubt Durant is recruiting at College, but so is your man Bundle, and so is everyone else connected to an under 19s outfit.  So what?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

i'll make sense. Roscoe is staying at Welly U as Director of Coaching unless he chooses to go somewhere else. That's the final word and I should know. Thank you for your kind words Smithy, after a season of PL having a laugh at us supportive comments are appreciated. I suggest we go back to the real topic of this thread, which is Under 19's.

well it was directly related because we were talking about 1st team opportunitys from under 19's and in this case ross does provide a good path from college to under 19's up to 1st team - so dont get on your high horse because it was about wellington united

wellington united dominated island bay with no bench

island bay musn't have a goalie - after island bay cap 2 game coached asked our goalie (tawa) if he was under 19 (he isn't) - must of been pretty desprate cause our goalie had just had a mere.

Question.  In no way loaded.  Have you played under, or coached with Ross??
