Not liking the transfers 'page' - a 40 page PDF document that cannot be searched by name, club or date. Dates of birth gone and a whole of futsal transfers for a schools tournament to boot.

Capital Fed website still has DOBs so at least you can reasonably ascertain whether you are looking at a senior or junior player.

Where do you find the PDF on the Mainland website?

So I just heard Tech sent a scout down to Coastal training on Thursday. Anybody ever heard of that happening? Pretty unsportsmanlike one would think. Didnt help them get many if any chances on Sat :D

Nelson will be pleased Tasman finished early.

I hear cashmere have recruited some of canterbury’s big gun imports. Think the dragon coastal lads are a bit more home grown.

[Home Grown, plenty of home grown talent on the park for CTFC on Saturday. Cretien, Hickford, Inwood, Spain, Mathysen, Meaclem, Galloway, Thoms, Logan, Cairns all juniors with Cashmere or Tech.

A few others featuring around the MPL too. Great to see our home grown talent on display.

Cap Football updated regs posted in the Central League thread. Same for Mainland?

8.6. Reported written abusive or critical comments against a Match Official contained in any official Club Match Programme or publication, in the media, on any form of Social Media or on a Club’s web page will incur an automatic fine of $250.00 on the offending Club. Repeated occurrences during the current season involving the same Club will result in the fine being doubled. The report of any alleged breach of this Regulation must be sent in the first instance to The Manager for action.

14.7. All home teams must operate a Twitter account and provide a minimum of half time and full-time scores for every home game.

Hilarious.

There must be more to 14.7 surely, you can't just tell someone what they must do "Johnny must play with his shirt tucked in" yea whatever says Johnny. Or make me. So what's the consequences? Your club gets slammed on Facebook if you don't comply?

Having said that I rely on Twitter on a Saturday for updates, think it's a bloody good idea, just can't ever remember which hashtag to use #chchmpl and chchwmpl are so simple (sorry Nelson and Selwyn).

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

Not everyone tweets, not everyone uses the hashtag. I now rely on Bet365 to give instant notifications. You still do a great job AW82!

Flashscore is other good site - the have scores from all over the world, they must get their score updates from sites like Bet365. Bet365 is also good at showing stats around games, shots, corners etc if that spins you wheels.

To Cashmere?

Knight, Terris, Schwarz, De Vries, Mitchell, Lockhart, Pendrigh, Ogilvie, King, Nakamura (plus Clapham). That's a handy XI if it transpires.

Depends on which way you look at it are they Dragons players or MPL players (in most cases) returning back to the clubs - Bays, Coastal, Nomads and Technical, before playing for the Dragons over the summer.

Also I would add Lyle Matthysen to the above list as well but not a Dragon.

Pendrigh & Jones have transfered to Nomads.

Will take more than them & Hoyle to keep them up if last Saturday is the Nomads way of defending for this season.

You won't win many points when you gift 3 goals a game [of the 4 scored] for the second game in a row.

Maybe Sean McGarr did a better job than Nomads Exec gave him credit for.

We wait and see come 5pm Monday which club is a the bottom.

FC beat Selwyn 3-1.  Not sure of goal scorers for FC (2 goals one 1 pen)

FCs first goal was an absolute cracker from outside the 18 yard box on the angle

Second FC goal was fairly well worked and deserved.  PEn was a little soft but it happens.

Selwyn goal scored by Dan Edes butt cheek.  As the keeper went to hit the ball  Dan charged towards the keeper who cleared it straight into Dan and rebounded into the goal.

Unfortunately FC played a much better game today as Selwyn looked a little flat compared to the last games out .  ( That hurt)

Has the bubble burst for Selwyn? The Monday game becomes hugely important for them now, the season shifts past the halfway point of the first round of 2, if teams want to move on to qualifying for the SI League points for the bottom four are getting crucial. Nomads and Uni in a reglegation battle already?

I'd never seen Sean play until he turned up at Coastal, but I can see why Ekow splashed the cash to sign him after watching him for Coastal at the Cashmere game, not often anyone gets the better of either of the Shwartz boys at a corner but that last minute effort that crashed the crossbar was top class.

Test match cricket has limited my spare time I'm afraid. Yesterday's games were predictable from memory, Monday's more random picks. I'll post them tonight #weatherdependant

had to drive like a maniac to get to English Park in time
