Up the FC!! Coastal were a bit average but waoooohh how bad was the refereeing!!!? Both ways. What did Ekow get sent off for? Nobody can tell me...

Permalink Permalink

Ekow sent for reaction to the dissent YC. FWIW that was a call the Ref got right. You can't say what was said and expect to not be disclipined and if you are already on a Yellow....well it's dumb football. Btw Ekow had already cut it fine in the first half...So he had to hold his Tounge... So we can probably cop that one.

Regardless of the shambolic officiating credit to FC2011 for playing some good football, getting stuck in and using young players. Better that than losing to hoofball and/or 10 behind the ball sharke.

Haha just looked at that disallowed goal on Facebook page. Go to minute 19

Not one of our players has even appealed for it to have been kicked out of Jacobs hands lol Mainland referees!!! Invite so much drama

Bye bye Coastal title race I would be celebrating if they didnt knock us out of both cups.

The script writers for Tristan Nichal 200th game for Coastal Spirit started out well with him scoring the opening goal but things went a off track when Cc came back strongly at the end with a great freekick to Sean Morris to level before Joel Peterson scored the winner just just over ten to play.

I thought Coastal's young winger was good and caused FC trouble but yet he was subbed instead of the predictable Guto who did absolutely nothing? Why don't Coastal trust in their young players more?

Sheesh this is turning into a bit of a roast now. I think you fellas are reading into things a bit much. Don't know why we've turned into the devil, it's surely not to do with our loudmouth supporters (I'm talking about others here) so what's with all the hate? I even had a beer with John Brown!

yes massive game next week for both sides! Selwyn keep on winning. Was expecting Waimak to get across the line today, but Halswell stringing together some results as of late, so they could possibly have a say on who wins the league with United and Selwyn. I'm leaning Selwyn in a tight finish!

Yes they looked tired when the game was lost. Took quite a while to get to some of the challenges. So much so the ball had gone.

Heard a story today about the Western v Tech MPL fixture where the assistant referee advised (within earshot of the story teller) the referee that the ball had crossed the byline, yet the game continued and Tech got a couple of shots in on goal afterwards.

After watching FC v Coastal last night, well yeah. Alarm bells are ringing

mmm I would say well done to Coastal for starting a player that young ahead of seniors. And good on Haris for lasting 70 minutes for the first time at that level.

I think we can reach top 4 the way we been playing. Got really unlucky against Bays too

Simon was sent from the Western dug out by the ref on Saturday after Technical were awarded their first penalty.

I cannot recall two coaches being ejected in the same round before.

If it is true not alot of coaches sitting around on the sidelines to move into the role.

I assume you mean Qiays Longman who looks to be heading to Halswell.

With the transfer deadline still a couple of weeks away no doubt teams near the bottom may be chasing a few of the players 'riding the pine' at other clubs.

Whilst watching the unexpected FC Twenty victory over Spirit I was sitting in the stand and regularly overheard about general unrest of players. That seems common knowledge now? Spirit played fairly poorly and definitely not like they were earlier in the season. Could not pass from back to front and a severe lack of leadership. Iffy team names on pitch too I felt. Anthony Jones with a defensive role? Crikey! I saw tall Matt sitting with another player I think in the Sumner Stand, lots of questions asking why he wasn't involved in which he cautiously replied "not picked". How the devil is that happening? A parent even told me he had left outright after querying it. Go to FC Twenty Matt if you are reading! I really thought Spirit would have been front runners this MPL season but Cashmere are once again showing their domination.

Neutral Nick aka Russell. Not sure exactly how true but I'm 90% sure you walked out of the club cause you wernt guaranteed a start. May not be true but I'm in the Coastal camp and we are obviously pissed at the league results but it's happy days. Good team, good setup and hopefully we can play better and get some luck.

From Western FB page

This is to advise that there has been a change of coaching staff for the Western MPL team. Effective from Monday 12 June Blair MInton has taken over the role of head coach. We thank Simon for his efforts this season.

No transfer yet from FC20 for the new kid [Not that young maybe] they have feelers out for.

My spy tells me he's over here and is from Peru has been in the MLS squad of Chivas FC.

I guess he could be known by Sean Morris hence the link to FC20.

He can't be that good no matter what part of MLS he's involved with if he's out here during the MLS season.

Maybe all talk and no end result or has had a look and not for him to lower his standard.

I thought referees could only send coaches off not sack them? I see a lower attendance coming to Western games now, the only reason people came was to see Simon get rowdy
