After working and then jumping on the page you see 40+ new posts and think there must be something good......what a load of shark this is turning into. Banter is good, this is.....well not banter.

Agree, should focus on what your good at John Cena, and that is definitly not input into this forum. Please pack your bags and leave

Willy... You are a wonderful man and an even better coach according to the papers. Is it true that your contract retainer is a packer or Malborough Reds for every win? Coastal v Halswell tonight I hear? Tech game analysis committee expected to be there to find a way to ensure they keep the spirit at bay... Coach Ekow expected to start a weakened team to keep teams guessing?

Hi all.

Just a reminder that we don't allow accounts that impersonate others on the site, for obvious reasons. The latest offender in this thread was whoever was pretending to be Willie Gerdsen - it definitely wasn't actually Mr Gerdsen.

Anyone found to be doing so will have their posts hidden, and if they continue posting they will be banned.

Cheers

What that wasn't the really Willy?

Messiah seems to have a different line up for each opposition. I think you will find it will be a similar line up to the last Halswell game if not the same...

Thats my guess

If anyone thought that was the real Willy Gerdsen I think we're all in trouble and should have our posts deleted.

Couldn't see coastal risking anything, surely not? Tech out of the cup, coastal would be backing themselves after being unbeaten against the rest in the competition! They will however struggle if they get through to next round and draw my team! Little Everton, Murphy, Dando and Fraser Angus are gunning for glory in the cup. Please someone keep me updated on tonight's game!

With the quality of the ginger off the pitch for coastal the game has lost its fire. With 90 minutes approaching we expect the fever to ignite with much anticipated discussion and emotion in the post match of the fiery English cup encounter. Gerdsen seen grinning as Sean Liddico prances around cone like Halswell defenders.

Into added time and Coastal still 2 - 0 up and heading to the Stadium Cars English Cup semi-finals along with, Ferrymead Bays, FC Twenty11 and Western.

Draw should be announced tomorrow.

I know it's not MPL but does anyone (AW82?) know why Christchurch Utd have lost 4 points in the CCL?

It seems their draw against Waimak at the weekend has gone down as a 3-0 loss and not only have they lost 1 point but they've had a further 3 removed

Do not know but sounds like playing unregistered player.

How was Stanleys goal!? He's in good form.

I tell you what, the relegation battle is all on cause Halswell looked 3 times better then they were a couple weeks ago. I'd back them to beat Uni. I'm glad Messiah didn't take them lightly.

That still may not be enough to keep the Hawks up, they still will need at least another point off FC or Suburbs and then hope Universities do not pick up any points of Western or Bays.

I think that's likely to happen looking at Halswell today. Offensively caused us more trouble tonight then Ferrymead and Western did with the 4 new faces they had

As expected draw. Was always looking like a Coastal vs Bays final being set-up, being the two biggest clubs left.

FC Twenty11 could potentially cause problems on the small English Park pitch with their quick, tidy, intricate play but Coastal look incredibly sound from back to front - big favourites to hold aloft the prestigious trophy.

Western are ever so poor - no real quality in possession, shoddy shape, and lack desire when going a goal down.

With Cash Tech not only focusing on the Chatham Cup but without star-man Siggy for weeks, Coastal could make the headlines nationwide with a League + English Cup double. As a neutral, I'd embrace that.

Extraordinarily well articulated Chubby. You should be a reviewer/critic with comments like that! Maybe review football gear like boots and the like? Just a thought, but i would embrace that.

I'm not sure as to which English Park you're referring to as being 'small'. Think with halswell looking good, could be time for the ever present western to say their goodbyes..

Permalink Permalink
over 9 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History

Western's fate is at least in their own hands. Beat Uni and stay up.

However Uni should feel the same, win that game and safe. Halswell still favourites for the drop but not nailed on.

Chch Utd? Shambles Utd sadly

Coastal fans saying we beat CTFC we win the MPL. Annoying and inaccurate. We need three wins not one.

Anyway interesting finish to the season coming up, that alone is an mprovement.

FC2011 vs Coastal : Both Teams come in to this fixture well organised, youthful and led by educated coaches (arguably two best coaches in the league). Coastal come in as favourites even with the likes of Macca in doubt recovering from knee surgery, same goes for Jacob Allen, Jackson Brady not in squad last night? Zach and Shawn still carrying niggles... Even with these issues, Ekow able to field a competitive team with the likes of Louie, Matt C, Stanley and Sean L in tremendous form . FC's youth have caused problems for teams but their prepubescent midfield will struggle against the form and experience of Coastal.

Prediction: Coastal 2-0 win

Western vs Ferrymead Bays: For those few out there who are able to pull themselves away from rubbing sandpaper on their genitals to watch the even more painful experience of Western playing football and Danny Halligan silently sitting watching his dollar signs run about a paddock offering more disappointment than a shared flight with Brownie. Western have the ability to shock sides but lack a full 90 minute performance. Chris Murphy will be hoping to have something to show with his career surely coming to a close. Bays defense have looked lack luster even with a National League Player in Wilson??

Prediction: Chips and nuggets served for after match?
