Erm very cryptic Wang Chang, you're prawn crackers! Not sure I'm fully on-board with what you mean and my current job wouldn't allow for spare time to do that, although it does sound good fun! Just on my lunch break now - can you tell Mother Chang to whip up her famous Pad Thai for me? Thanks dumpling :)

Happy to team up with you and knock those Western fellas out, but then my wrestle mania 2002 experience will come out and I'll knock you out too!

FC2011 vs Coastal : Both Teams come in to this fixture well organised, youthful and led by educated coaches (arguably two best coaches in the league). Coastal come in as favourites even with the likes of Macca in doubt recovering from knee surgery, same goes for Jacob Allen, Jackson Brady not in squad last night? Zach and Shawn still carrying niggles... Even with these issues, Ekow able to field a competitive team with the likes of Louie, Matt C, Stanley and Sean L in tremendous form . FC's youth have caused problems for teams but their prepubescent midfield will struggle against the form and experience of Coastal.

Prediction: Coastal 2-0 win

Western vs Ferrymead Bays: For those few out there who are able to pull themselves away from rubbing sandpaper on their genitals to watch the even more painful experience of Western playing football and Danny Halligan silently sitting watching his dollar signs run about a paddock offering more disappointment than a shared flight with Brownie. Western have the ability to shock sides but lack a full 90 minute performance. Chris Murphy will be hoping to have something to show with his career surely coming to a close. Bays defense have looked lack luster even with a National League Player in Wilson??

Prediction: Chips and nuggets served for after match?

I thought Macca had recovered from his knee surgery?? Hasn't he been playing the last few months? He sells me my shoes at Shoe Clinic and I thought he said he was back playing? Agree with your prediction though in that game!

As for my beloved Ferrymead Bays, we will coast past western! Everton, Dando and Fraser Angus will do the job needed for us to get to the final and have our revenge on Coastal Spirit a.k.a wang chan, the real wang chan, chubby apkom, 2 touch me and whoever else is on this forum.

Good luck and see you all soon

Coastal will walk over FC. They're utter garbage. Western will be walked over by Ferrymead also. They're American boy must be off in the next week or so. Bays have looked a lot stronger in recent weeks from what I've seen of them. Think Andy Tuckey is key to the rest of Ferrymead's cup campaign, recently fit again. The boy had been in tantalising form before his injury, he's an absolute joy to watch. Brilliant striker. Should then set up a terrific final for the neutrals. Don't think coastal will have it as easy as some think they will (TRAIN)

Don't know what you've seen of Tuckey that I haven't. I think he is someone who thinks he is too good for his own boots, winges a lot and will not impact in any way, shape or form for the rest of the season! Hope we go with Dando up top, he is a league legend who always causes problems!

Dando as you affectionately call him is an embarrassment to the league, not a legend. Club swapper, diver, moaner, does nothing. And he's a lawyer and on the Board of Mainland. Sheesh!

Russell Brand? Ha! I think he's a bigger Wang than you. You've lost me again sorry Chang, you're very 'Dim Sim' indeed.

Affectionately call him ? Is it not his real name?? Only reason he is a "club swapper" is cause he is in high demand! Moaner? More like appealing.

Both Dando (aka Ando aka Chris aka moaning myrtle) and Andy Tuckey are absolute tripe. With Ando being more tripe than Andy. How Ando made the Otago united squad a few years ago I'll never know, for as long as I've watched him he's always been as per Vims description but sharkter if thts a word.

Who ever this guy is I don't remember noticing him during a game but he could go and play Sunday League.

Do Coastal Rovers need a striker?

Some classy strikers play Sunday League.

You can ascertain what your opponent is afraid of by observing the means by which he attempts to frighten you

I know it's not MPL but does anyone (AW82?) know why Christchurch Utd have lost 4 points in the CCL?

It seems their draw against Waimak at the weekend has gone down as a 3-0 loss and not only have they lost 1 point but they've had a further 3 removed

Do not know but sounds like playing unregistered player.

Again?? That happened few seasons back didnt it?

Competition Notes

* Round 19 Christchurch United played ineligible player 3-0 to opposition.
** Round 19 Christchurch United falsified teamsheet 3 points deducted

Congratulations Sean Liddicoat for making NZ U20 squad. Unfortunately we wont have him at the end of the season :( My source isnt a solid one.. Might be mnissing the Tech game

Also congrats to the coaches at Coastal that passed their respective certificates. Im told there were 3 or 4 of them. Gosh this club is doing good things. Some brilliant coaches in the ranks. Best club for coach education as far as im aware.

Qualifiers for the Under 20 the OFC Championship are from 3 - 17 September so would be away for date of the English Cup Final, with final build up before the OFC Champs, a couple of weeks before this, I think I recall reading recently.

No MPL action this weekend due to the Chatham Cup quarter-final - Cashmere Technical verses Miramar Rangers at Garrick Memorial Park at 2pm.

Im told Coastal have a friendly in the morning behind closed doors against a foreign team. Will try find out where

After hearing that Cash Tech have attained two additional players for the run-in to the season, in connection with the club's recent injuries, I'm personally not sure how to take it and I'm interested to hear the views of other MPL fans and players.

I mean, does that suggest that the Cash Tech squad is lacking in depth and a poor quality one beyond the starting XI? Or that the manager doesn't have faith in his no.12-no.18 bench players?

I personally know a few Cash Tech players who regularly find themselves on the bench and we've spoken about the impact of such new appointments who are more than likely going to put straight into the team with priority. Disappointed and discouraged were the most prominent words used.

It's common knowledge that Coastal Spirit are pushing Cash Tech ever harder for the MPL crown and that the club are again desperate for Chatham Cup glory, however isn't there a case for player loyalty and to develop younger players when a chance arises like this through injuries. Look at Marcus Rashford at United, he and his club epitomise this.

Clearly Tech are lacking some depth if they are calling in players not already in their squad. I am surprised they didn't try sign Matt C from Coastal with all the injuries to their back four. I know you definitely rate him highly Akpom and i sure do have a real Chubby for him!

Who are the "two additional players" that are understood to be brought in?

All I see on the Mainland clearances page is:

International Transfers Cashmere Technical Curry, Paul Approved
FC TWENTY 11 Cashmere Technical Wilson, Nicholas Approved
Christchurch United Cashmere Technical Anderson, Jordan Approved

At a crucial stage of the season, along with the injuries, they have also lost both Oscar and Louie (although injured for awhile) Evans as they head to the states with their respective scholarships. Understandable on Cash Tech's part to bolster the squad to maintain standards, and that is not to say they are or are not taking away from those players #12-#18. It's a competition, and they want to win....just like every other team.

Matt C has been at Tech before, 2015 I think, then went to Halswell before signing for Coastal earlier this season.
