What? Really? I thought he just arrived in New Zealand this year and signed for Coastal straight up. Didn't realise he's a bit of a journeyman! Good decision leaving Halswell - bit harsh but complete other ends of the table. And just FYI Wang Chang all I said was that Matt C would be worth a Dragons look, nothing like getting a chubby over him like you.

The two new faces at Cash Tech could have been previously signed from the beginning of the season however to my knowledge haven't featured so far this term, still slightly unfair on the other players vying for a place week in week out.

Who are the two players?

Jeremy Wild & Nick Wortelboer so I've heard. Rate Wild highly, used to watch him for Dragons - good player.

Two very good players. My question is, if they haven't been playing regularly throughout this season, can they really make THAT much of an impact? Yes, quality never disappears, and I'm unsure if they have both been playing this season, but how much can they really change things other than just add depth!?

Both quality players, Broonie would be crazy not to sign em up! If he didn't i'm sure the conductor would be trying to get them to board the train

Do not think they need to sign / transfer unless they transferred out of Tech which I do not think is the case.

Yes it is unless the transfer has already be started, so can be completed after this date with any time for an International or inter-district transfer.

Always felt that this date is wrong for us in New Zealand as our season is well and truly past the midway point but based on a FIFA date so have to put up with it, start of June may be a better date.

In the case of Wild he is a club hopper depending on which club is at the top. Done it in both junior grades and seniors.

Has already had a time at Rangers so CS could play the old boy comes back.

it would be fantastic if both were stil involved, they haven't left Tech they have always been here. Don't know how this rumour appeared. Pretty sure Jeremy is out of town celebrating his birthday. Also being a bit unfair saying he is a club hooper.

Played senior football for Nomads won a league title moved to Dunedin to train to be Dr Wild played for Cavvy won several league titles.

Once he became Dr Wild moved to Welly for Job were he won title there too , then moved back home and I hounded him to Tech where

he won another title, dr duties meant he couldn't do the football thing this year. He certainly cant be classed as a club hopper ,circumstances took him to other citiies

The club I love would prefer to give the good young loyal lads that have trained week in week out for the whole season to have the opportunity and experience of being apart of such a big game this late in the season.....

I do wonder what the Tech reserve players think of actions like this....

Jeremy is one of the nicest people you would meet im told. To the point where he will even feel bad just walking in before a young lad thats worked so hard just for this breakthrough??

I believe there were a few disgruntled Coastal players n supporters(parents) regarding Jackson Brady not spending anytime in the reserves n walking straight into the 1st team. Any truth to tht Train seen tht you n the coach r so close?

Jackson has been a coastal player for ages, bar time away up north etc.

You can ascertain what your opponent is afraid of by observing the means by which he attempts to frighten you

If thts your argument then I think there's heaps of double standards here with people calling Jeremy Wild a club hopper. Whereas Jackson's been to Wellington, Spain and then Auckland and might I add none of those trips was to become a Dr. On a side note I think the boy is arrogant and overrated....now have a field day abusing me saying I'm not a true Coastal supporter but the truth hurts sometimes.

If thats the case and your a coastal supporter go tell him to his face bumblebee ??

Yeah I see what you mean bumbumbee. But he just seems to do the basics really well. Hes versatile and a good trainer. He makes some bloody good teams and gets himself into world class environments.

You will see him be in the senior Canty United squad 100% and until Willy secures Boys or Liddicoat will be starting left back for Canty from what I hear.

Shawn Obrien could play there but I think him and Will had a falling out. As he does with everyone.... I dont know how "Messiah" is taming them egoes to be honest

Hey bumblebee what is your problem with Jackson Brady? This isn't the first time you have bought his name up. As a teammate and friend of Jackson I can agree that he is definitely arrogant but have to disagree that he is overrated. Jackson is back here working hard to be a member of Coastal, and more than likely the Dragons, on and most importantly off the pitch. I have no idea where you are getting your information that players and supporters are upset about him 'walking into the team' but I can assure you that is not the case from anyone I know or have spoken to

Few Wang Chang impostors on here. Can the site administration sort that out? Thought you couldn't impersonate people?

As for Jackson, one hell of a player and I thought confident not arrogant when i have seen him play? What a fantastic team culture Coastal have when a player makes an account just to stick up for his mate from an anonymous keyboard warrior. Brilliant stuff all round.

Pitts for MPL defender of the year and also forum defender of the year??

What do you think of Evandro coming in to the Coastal setup in mid June then? Wonder what the good young loyal lads & reserves who'd been training from January think of that

Personally, if it means your team & environment is getting better & your club are moving forward then I'm all for mid season transfers, sometimes situations don't work out for players so theres no point staying in a bad environment all season for the sake of it.

Shawn - youngest ever mpl player of the year.

Only player to score a 'perfect hattrick in the SI Championship final also! Wonderful player! Would like to support him through the summer for the Dragons once again!

Danny Boys up at 3am before Chatham Cup? Love that.

I think players being on here is just as embarrassing as coaches.

Pitts_B its a nice gesture but there isnt much point in defending players on here. Everybody is entitled to an opinion. I too think Jackson is overrated. I think Luie is better going forwards then him and I think you are better then him definsevely. Jackson is well rounded.

As for Shawn, yes correct, he use to be amazing. Seeing him play in the national league last season nearly made me ill and I have watched Coastal get hammered by tech 3 times this season where Shawn was rubbish all three games.

My advice, Coastal players need to reign it in and focus. Dont get caught up in yellow fever mish mash. You wont see mature players like AC or Terris on here doing all this, and I think that will be the difference next Saturday. Once again, a lack of maturity from Coastal

Couldn't have said it better myself mate. I think people of this forum sometimes forget that this all about the mpl and people's opinions on it.

I think the kid is arrogant n overrated and thts my opinion from watching him over the years. Don't necessarily have to have a problem with him as I don't know him personally, it's what ive witnessed over the years.

Comments like this I feel put your allegiance to coastal spirit in jeopardy? How can you support a team and want them to win, but then on forums like this, rip into members of that very team you support? What are your thoughts on the other coastal players? Praise or abuse for them?

No matter who comes into my beloved Ferrymead Bays I stand by them and support them ?. Love my club

I support United in the Epl doesn't necessarily mean I like every player. And frankly mate I don't give a toss wht you or anyone else says I'll continue voicing my opinions and supporting Coastal whether the other supporters like it or not.
