As Matty's life partner, I can confirm that he does see "any hole as a goal" so if you can please forward all names and contact numbers of anybody (LGBT included) that wants to feel his Coastal Spirit deep within them, that would be great.

As for Danny Boys, he's more useless with balls in his hand than he is with a ball at his feet.

Don't you talk about my throw like that.

Take your pants off

Despite looking on Facebook, twitter, my emails and other websites can not find any official release (as yet) for the naming of the squad.

The squad has not been named - publicly.

Sounds a bit like the Dragon's youth squad. Clubs congratulating players on facebook but no official announcement.

Haha the old after Thursday training updates. My fave time to check in on things and find out what we are in store for this weekend. For those asking, I can confirm Matt did not train tonight and pretty sure there is a no train no play policy so dont think he will be starting.

Macca was at training but still struggling and may play a small part on Sat.

Pretty sure Tech have some big names not playing as well

All the pressure looks to be mounting on Tech BIG TIME. No matter what happens Coastal will be applauded for their efforts and season thus far. As for Tech, a loss may end their era IMO and in turn will see some drastic measures being taken from the club to try stay in touch with the SPIRIT.

I might have rehearsed an airplane celebration

I hope you remember your parachute!!!

You have to be able to embrace the pressure !!!

Not much pressure today though apparently !!!

I applaud Coastal's efforts on the pitch, (off it a different story).

I bet Gary enjoyed his goal !!!

Sideline abuse does not necessarily result in on field success!!!

As The Messiah and I agreed last week Mirimar v CTFC was a big step up from the run of the mill MPL game.

IMO Young players should watch and learn from these rare quality games and not focus on throwing verbal crap around if they want to play at that level.

was expecting a much closer contest today I'm sure I'm not the only one. Torn between watching fc halswell as thought this could be a humdinger considering what was on stake for hawks but decided on top of table clash. Thought tech shows there class when it matters the most, unfortunately for coastal for whatever reason were half a yard off everything today. Techs experienced heads shone through when it counted. Game was one through middle of park and cant go against techs quality there. It's still not over for coastal, stranger things have happened, either way coastal should be well happy with what they have achieved this year. At the other end its still all on not sure what happened with western today but would not have picked a score like that. Halswell and western have tough runs in but all to play for in terms of relegation. Point or better for hawks against nelson who have little to play for should make things very inter

Firstly, if this is the real Fred Simpson this is an absolute joke! Someone who used to be involved at national level and regional level and now involved with Tech making comments like this? A shame to the club after a good win.

As a region we should be happy for what coastal are doing, playing good football and challenging tech but also bringing atmosphere! And that's coming from me a Ferrymead fan!

Wasn't at the game so can't make comments on the game, as for us I was gutted we threw a couple goal lead to Nelson! Still have faith for the English cup final!

Coastal crumbling second half. Credit to browner tactical change at halftime, changing the game

Yes. He is a young dominate ball playing CB. He was the best defender in the park. The Cash Tech defenders relied on the long ball too much today but I must admit they're a class above in the air.

Sorry you have lost me. must be my age. I was responding to Train's effort. Which of the comments do you think are a joke?

No problem with the Coastal players efforts on the pitch, as I said.

Gordon needs another 4 or 5 years before being up to a CD position in the national league IMO.

mmmm but imagine the potential that be reached learning off the Shawrz brothers in that environment.

Stats around this round:

Just the 2nd time Coastal have failed to score this season, with the 5 - 0 loss their heaviest at home without scoring.

The  4 - 4 draw between Bays and Suburbs was only the second time there has been this score line in 1296 games - the 1st was in the first season on the MPL in 2002 between Nomads and Rangers.

Halswell are now sitting on their longest winless run of 12 games, from 295 games.

Universities 5 - 0 win over Western was their biggest winner ever without conceding a goal.

Andy Tuckey (Bays) now joint top scorer  with 10, along with Mario Hoffmann (FC).

Another epic winning battle from Glenn Lapslie's FC young boys on a terrible pitch. How is that pitch acceptable for a premiere league match? Beats me. Terrible!!!!

Could do a lot worse. Too many of the younger players do not have the commitment and patience to work in a back up role.

He would learn that as a CB it is more important to ensure clean sheets than looking good on the ball. National league all about results.

I do fully agree with the first part. Way to many young players think that they are better than they are. The second part is correct to an extent but who else would you put as a back up CB in the Dragons? It wasn't just Zac put there today. He wrapped up Liam very well and forced him into limited options and I rate Liam as one of the best if not the best solo forward in the league.

Right - there has been some pretty nasty stuff written in here.

Someone has been slapped with a ban.

Everyone should take that as a warning. If you can't play nice, you won't play on our forum.
