Dodgy dealings going on with the Dragons players getting transfers to winter clubs.

Wilson, Schacht [Bays] and Knight approved but not the rest.

Who are Bays playing on Saturday.

They can't all owe money for subs to be part of the Dragons now can they.

Bays are getting smashed by Coastal. Pretty sure Dragons players are automatically released back to clubs unless they haven't returned all gear or paid outstanding fines etc. so could be something there. Are they all transferring back to the clubs they came from or is that the issue?

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

Here are some stats / milestone from the opening MPL round

- when scoring his first goal Chris Anderson (Ferrymead Bays) notched his 50th MPL goal to become just the tenth player to achieve this milestone

- the 250th penalty was scored by Meysum Shafahi (Nomads), however three more were saved / missed.

- when winning FC Twenty moved passed 50 MPL points (from 64 games)

- it was the first time Universities failed to secure at least a point in the opening round - the loss was their 50th (from 86 games)

Would be surprised if he left selwyn but if he is gonna move cash tech would be in with a chance. I understand he turned down silly money from a ccl club. Who by the way must be big favourites for promotion after all there investm

Friday Result: Universities 3 (Gabrielle Granello 2, Caleb Baker) Cashmere Technical 4 (Andy Barton 2, Dan Schwarz - pen, Michael White) HT 1 - 3

No a great game, Technical lead early on, 3 - 0 up after 38 minutes with Universities then scoring either side of half time before levelling at 3 - 3 before a mistake at the back allowed Michael White in to score what turned out to be the winner. The penalty was very 'soft'.

Suspect that Dan will "coach" for at least the first four games of the season before resuming his playing career. Refer Mainland misconducts.

well spotted footyfan, yes a few upsets through me off. Always lived outside the square - just to the northeast actually - sense of fun, excitement and all that so I went for 4 draws. Quite happy to go 0 from 4 if today's game doesn't pan out. Won't be any worse than last week, no sense in taking the trivia of life too seriously is there? If my miserable  effort makes someone else feel better about themselves then mission accomplished :)

Nope. Bit disappointed we didn't get the win however the second half we were all over them. Losing 1-0 to a side who will be in the top 3 or 4 by a penalty isn't something to lose sleep over.

Never been a round in the MPL were all the games have ended in a draw - so must be due.

No wonder Coastal loses when they got average chicken without a head Louie bush starting !. He wonders around the field up to nothing. Id have more faith the kid doing a yardy rather then actually being able to run a few yards !! does the guy even know what defending is ? Cause hes not to much better at going forward tbh!.
