Did Parklands merge into Coastal here? ;)

My bad should be:

Cashmere Technical 2 Parklands 0 and Coastal 2 FC 0. Will ammend orginal post to avoid any confusion.

From what I've heard some idjit at FC2011 registered someone as a new player instead of a transfer from another club. Every game he played is a 3-0 win for someone else so Bays, Western and someone else get points. Has an impact on relegation too. #onejob

FC2011 drew with Nomads and beat Bays, Western and Uni.

If it's the full seven round infringement they are 6 points bottom... Surely not... Bays would go top lol.

If Anton has been on the team card for all 7 of FC's matches and the standard penalties are applied, the table would be as follows:

would be a -27 GD as well. So would surely have to not level points with whoever finishes 7/8

This if true is massive news. Very disappointing really. Let's hope it's not that bad.

Yes and if it does effect all rounds will piss of a few goal scorers as well as are all the goals scored will be null-invoid and games recorded as 3 - nil wins to the opposition with all goals recorded as own goals?

Own goals could would win the Golden Boot.

Any one at today game between Suburbs and Bays shed any light on the ref leaving his cards in the refs room at half-time and having to return to the room during the game to get them to card a player.

Surely I heard this wrong.

Can a ref receive a card for time wasting?

well done Burwood

FT Coastal win 2-0. Think we had three goals disallowed, first of which was a very good call by the lines woman. Haris Zeb got his first run in the top side.

Yes watched the Halswell / O'Shea's Burwood game and Burwood also had two goals disallowed an also hit the crossbar. Halswell were never really in the games, sounds like they rested a few players.

Burwood full of running the whole game and if they keep this up hard to see them staying at the bottom of the CCL.

Yet Burwood were poor on Saturday. Would be interesting to see who Halswell did have out.

Cup games though are just that, a cup game, and 9 times out of 10 the favourite will win, but a lower league team will lift their game.

Burwood and Halswell are in the same league though. Can't believe how far Halswell have dropped. #headswillroll ?

Not that it changes the result but the HT score Selwyn v Western was 0-4.  Best you don't do FC's transfers either. :p

What I find difficult to understand with all of this is given the several thousand dollars each club pays to be in the league why aren't all registrations checked before the season starts? What is the entry fee for? In the days of CFA volunteers all cards in all grades (junior and senior) were checked every week. Why has it taken 7 rounds to discover this? If this is a genuine mistake of process make the punishment fit the crime - fine FC and sack the Mainland staff responsible for overseeing admin! Couldn't be any worse without them.

Yes in the past Mainland used to also check all players in MPL teams before season start and let clubs know if there were any that were perhaps ineligible to play (still not a guarantee but helped). Hasn't been done for a few years now.

I don't think it's all games that are at stake, however I agree with the flaw in the process. Why has it taken so many rounds to find out there is an issue which therefore means so many things are at stake?

As much as I also hate to say it, Bays deserve the Shield back. If the the points are reversed due to illegal players so should the shield.

FC will be right, they still get to play western a couple times which is easy points and will help level out the goal difference

Made the trip up to Nelson to watch Coastal and Bays game. This is correct ref left cards in changing room at half time about 5minutes in went to book a bays player searched every pocket before realizing he didn't have them. Fourth offical had to go back to the sheds to retrieve.

Last season a Youth D1 Grade winning side used a player in every round despite it actuall saying on the Mainland Website **** ***** is not allowed to play. So maybe the checks are only when another club rings up and complains.

Why should CTFC  miss out on +6 goals? That's bullshark for sure.

I don't mind paying affilation fees. I do mind clubs not getting very basic process clean. Player eligibilty surely falls into that realm.

I will lose my shark if this happens to us.

Which game?

If it means Coastal aren't top it would have to be the win over Bays (therefore putting them top). I've looked at the team list and can't for the life of me think who there would be un-registered though. Spill Vim

Who is new to FC2011 MPL that didn't play for the club last season? Which of those players isn't on the Mainland clearance page?

That will be the problem then. New players don't appear on the clearance page do they, only transfers? Clearly if he came from another club he should be on there.

well, yes. Which looks like it leaves Mainland no leverage.

@Gunnersaurs, did Anton play in the 4 rounds FC got points?

Agree, Foal. Digging further, the relevant sanctions are defined in NZF Regulation 5, namely:
  1. "8.4 In the event of an ineligible player playing (taking the field as player and participating either in full or in part of a match), the following sanctions will apply:
    1. 8.4.1 The offending team shall be sanctioned with a forfeit and will be considered to have lost the match by 3-0;
    2. 8.4.2 The opposing team shall be awarded the points for the match. If the goal difference at the end of the match is greater than three in favour of the opposing team, the result on the pitch is upheld; "

So the sanctions apply to all matches in which the ineligible player actually took the field (not merely being on the team card). If the player actually took the field in all seven matches to date, all match results would be affected, not just the 4 from which FC gained points. And the CTFC result would stand at 9-0, which would produce:

I've only seen them play a couple of games this season incl the win over bays and he has been ever present for sure so i'd assume so

from the Mainland page--Y09 Shows a lack of respect for the game.

What tackle gets you this YC.

Do you get this Yellow Card by advising you're going to play Rugby??

It's where you wear shorts that are far too tight, therefore displaying your "tackle". Vim can explain further if required :)

Sorry Vim, just seen this. Reason I asked was if at the games then source likely from someone in the FC camp or a referee if after the games, as don't they (the ref's) met at O'Shea's after their games for a drink.
