FC Twenty 11 are pleased to announce the appointments of Marius Moeser and Simon Darby as our Men's First Team Co-Coaches. Both coaches are excited to be working together and look forward to connecting with the players in the new year. Marius was coaching within the junior development space in 2024, and will also be Head Coach of the U14 CUDL team in 2025. After experiencing a successful season with the Women's First Team in 2024 and helping the ladies win the CWCL, Simon is looking forward to applying his football knowledge in the men's space next year. Pre-season will commence from the week of the 27th of January. When MF had written the CPL relegation regulations for 2024, they had not taken unto account the SL promotion/relegation situation we had last year (FC 2011 Relegated from SL but Waimak not promoted from CPL due to losing the playoff). The regulations only stated that the bottom team would be relegated if an eligible CCL team was able to be promoted. I believe the regulations are being changed for 2025 onwards so it will revert to a 10 team league next year

Western vs Burwood Pre season match this morning, I believe it finished 6-3 to Western. Burwood missing a few players so hard to read too much into the result.
FC Twenty were scheduled to play Western on Sat - who withdrew because the bulk of their players were at Electric Ave. FC instead beat their own reserve team 3-0.
Waimak have lost their first team coach and DOF Harry Trethowan who has left for Auckland - that's a big loss for Waimak. He has been replaced as DOF by Danny Kane from Cash-Tech, but I don't believe he is the new first team coach.
