A huge result for Western after coming into the game at the foot of the table with Halswell at the top. Western's now move ahead of FC Twenty 11, with Halswell picking up just a point in the last three rounds after picking up 7 wins and a draw in their opening 8 games and could drop back to second next weekend as they now have the bye.

New leader with ChCh United U20 Academy now moving to the top of the table after Halswell were top for the previous 11 rounds.

Some interesting results today with Waimak coming from 3 - 1 to topple Halswell, which was the Hawks first loss at Home this season.

Western also coming from behind to draw with Bays, which saw Western now move to a mid-table position, 7 points from their last three games. 

The battle at the bottom looks set to go down to the wire, maybe the even the final round game between Selwyn and FC may decide who will finish at the foot of the table but both UC and Nomads will also be concerned with their recent form.

Under the regs this season a team must finish either first or second if they wish to enter the play-offs to qualify for the Southern League for 2026. This change also applies for both the Nelson Premier League and the Southern Premier League.

FC Nelson have been declared winners, based that they were leading after 12 of the 18 rounds, with the final six rounds now unable to be completed due to rain in the Nelson / Tasman regions over the past month. I understand that FC Nelson wish to contest the play-offs.

Northern AFC have secured the title down south. Again I understand Northern wish to contest the play-offs.

Probably pretty 50/50 whether Halswell finish in the top 2. This weekends game against Ferrymead Bays, and next week against Chch United will decide.
