Two close games last night. Wharf getting over Seatoun 4-3 after letting seatoun came back into game with some average defending. A couple more injuries to the growing list.

BNU missed a load in the second half but hung onto a 1-0 lead. Featured Sandy running seventy yards to chop PK.

According to the Capital Football website Wellington United Dreamers beat Wharfies 6-0 today. Is this right?

Yep. I picked the ball out the net six times

Yes, we The `Original Dreamers` played them off the park, and to be honest could have been more. Greenie had a stormer as he said, picked the ball out of the back of the net 6 times!!...as well as coming up in the last minute to take a penalty, only to miss, keeping our clean sheet in tact.

I think 1-1 would have been a fair score

Some good results Monday night! Olympic with a 2-0 win over Tawa, to jump back into 3rd place... Wharfies beating Brooklyn, setting up the last game which goes down to the wire to see who wins the title! Been a great season with some good games.. looking forward to next year!

Wharfies Cap 1 side deserved the win against BNU last night, although it wasn't much of a game to watch.

BNU never really got their passing game going, and Wharfies basically out-battled them.  Very few chances for either team, and the game was settled by probably the standout player on the night, some young lad called Joe Bucks (according to the Wharfies team card).  He looked a lot like Sam Buckle, but I know that Wharfies would never illegally drop a player down from a higher team when their season has finished.

And I know that BNU would never play an unregistered Frankie Mac. Good player that Joe Bucks

Frankie Mac has legs made out of biscuits and no right foot - not sure BNU would have any benefit in playing him

Marist wear green but with two Greenies up front (Chris and Mike) and Brodie roaring down the left, Marius and the Jester and Mori in behind and a famed centre back mopping up at the rear, the green team didn't stand a show against Hogan's Heroes.

Id assume probably not much in the way of new blood. I don't think they have too many around the 40 years mark. I'll pick Wharf 4-1

We are happily still dining out on our 3-2 upset win against you lads last season...

Marist Cavs Golden Oggie hat trick the most memorable event for us in the game vs the Wharf, was pretty much one way traffic, but for all that we enjoyed the game, was played in excellent spirits and Wharf play a very nice brand of footy, especially for a team of giants :)

Follows on nicely from our 7-1 shellacking at the hands of BNU Black a couple of weeks before where G. Post was our man of match, saving 5 including 2 in the same movement (BNU Striker shoots - Post - Back of Marist GK - Post - out for corner).

Will Wharfies be able to contain the Dreamers one man goal machine, Mark Clare? Should be a great game.

No new recruits to speak of this year for us, WU Dreamers. In fact our backline and keeper a couple of weeks back had no one under the age of 50. The average age would be pushing 45 plus. We have had a fortunate draw up until now.. the tough matches are ahead of us.

Fun scene at Karori Park. Johnny Miller ref for WK-OLY produced a foam

canister and to much applause marked out a line for a wall. Great stuff.

Only problem: It was still there an hour later.

Wharf 2 Oly 0  (Riddle his 888th career penalty. Brodie also scored).

couldn't BNU have got the turf for this grand occasion? Or at least somewhere a little more first world?
