No but I think it was on about three players at once

Truthfully not this time....although it makes up for the other 8 he should have got.

He often comes down for a training kick around with the Nighthawks and is always pleasant.

I think he's badly maligned..

a quick question from ignorant non master's player.

are you allowed to play a under age player in masters 1?

player in early 30's but not 35 for a while.

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

Nope

Although...does anyone check?

Doubt it, i know for a fact that it happens every week in masters. And in other grades (ie. players being suspended on red's, dropping down a few grades to play next week etc...). Its on such a scale CF could never keep up with it if they tried.

kind of like sneaking in to compete in the special olympics - not something anyone aspires to..

could understand in masters 2,3,4 but masters 1 is the top div and should be held to account if this was happening i would of thought.

but if you guys think it's not a issue i will move on.

saw 20 mins of wharf vs welly united, in that time saw 4 quality goals from wharf. United were ming. Also saw what I can only assume was masters on alex wembley 1, and that was dreadful viewing. Weather was great :)

league win for Wharf with two games to go. Champagne flowing. Think we're on 94 goals now - hitting the ton the goal.

sorry but i should correct your statement so that there is no misunderstandings,

alexmoore 2 is now alex wembly as alexmoore 1 too small and i think it's markings are slightly wrong.

game on alex 1 cap 13 at 2.30 and masters 2 on the turf.

was good seeing the island bay originals down the club as there were some faces i have not seen in a while and i thought they had retired.

It also seems according to the after match chat that they can still poke out a good game plan as they showed our whiskeys team with a 3-1 loss

Played a game in Masters 2 yesterday with some past teammates (who moved up to Masters when they got sick of chasing after 20 year olds!) as my own team's game was postponed.

Played at Kilbirnie and despite what I've read on here about that pitch I didn't think it was too bad. Lot better than expected and coming from a lower grade that usually plays on grass and doesn't often get an artificial, I can't think of a grass pitch in Wellington that would be in a much better state at this stage of the season. Definitely much better than my team's usual home pitches - Karori 2 which looked like it's had pigs living on it last time we played on it a few weeks ago, and Ben Burn which is also a bit of a bog.

um did they win and are thus promoted into Masters 1 next season?

No and no. Sorry, thought this was the most relevant place to post about a Masters game rather than create a Masters 2 thread with 1 game left.

Played at Alex Moore on Saturday....wow...what a turf. So much nicer than Wakefield

That doesn't include me getting called a Cnut which is at $1.03

Surprisingly calm. Good battle between two good teams. Wharfies hit the post twice in the first 20 mins then scored a sweet OG.

thought the 90 years old ref DaveBarr did better than any other ref I have seen in a while

I'm out the loop but he'd struggle to make the team as we are usually pretty well covered there
