Yea i saw that too, in the Wainuiomata game? Pretty silly, had all the right to ask for it to be taken back. But in all fairness, there were some quality refs out there too.

I would like to add my two bits about the reffing. I was watching all the Tawa games and saw quite a few others and there were so many poor refs, but when I say poor I don't mean making a bad decision for penalties, missing hand balls, getting an offside wrong etc. Yes I know they give up there time and a tournament like this can't run without them. But examples like when a kid swears under his breath and no one hears it and gets sent off and then 20 minutes later a kid from the other team does it and everyone on the sideline hears it and nothing or when a keeper admits to it being a corner and the ref won't change his mind cause only he can be right, my list could be endless. I just hate how SOME refs think or seem to from my mind to be better than the game itself

do any of McIntyres players ever tell him to GGF? For the short time I watched them he made some pretty big calls from the sideline to players. Or do they just follow him like ducks?

Didn't realise that the Napier tournament was also a breeding ground for future A-League referees...

Hes coached the kids in that team since they were 13-14yrs old... very much use to it!

i refused to play for him at college level few years back if that counts.
