Never saw this.
Looks like we (Warfies) will be working to salvage some points for warfies this weekend.
Our 5-1 win was promising last week.
We lost a player to a dislocated knee though... Bugger.

Can't wait until some more teams get in on this. We are looking at 22 games this season. Or they will have to join the two divisions.
Our long string of losses last year did us no favors for this season.

I saw Wests Rovers 2:0 Petone also. A well contested battle by both teams, a good pyshical game of football. It got to the point though where there was a scrap, both players shouldve been sent off but the ref some how missed the entire thing... I think Wests were probably the better team only because Petone looked to fizz a little towards the end. Otherwise couldve gone either way. Wests also had a late freekick strike the woodwork

We lost 5-3 to a very young Wests team. I recognized a few from Smtihy's tornadoes team. Was a pretty good game though. I don't believe that we deserved to lose but they played with the wind a lot better than us and we were left exposed at the back. Due to not knowing who our defenders were.

Apparently the North United v. North Rovers game ended in a draw.

I was supposed to come out and ref the Petone half of this game but was in no fit state.

I gather the Petone lad in the scrap waded in swinging after a tackle and then when some parent came on from the sideline swinging CRUTCHES the player had a swing for him too!  I don't condone fighting but that's pretty plucky stuff from a kid who weighs about 40 kilos.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Wasnt a parent, another player. From where i was it didnt look like he came on swinging crutches, but merely using them as some kind of tool to separate the scrap lol by that stage another wests player had jumped in.
Pretty stupid though, if i were the ref they wouldve been finished.

Yeah me also.

Actually no, if I was the ref I'd have been having a spew on the bank under the gumtrees while all this was going on.

Petone lad has been spoken to by his club second team coach...

Warfies won 1-0.
Sadly got an assist when I wanted a goal. I took a shot at a tight angle. Kepper just got his hands to it and the ball dropped to another player.
Plenty of aggro though. One big guy kept taking cheap sh*ts at players. He finally ankle tapped another player with his hands when he was going down, and it all set off from there.

Thank god for Capital Football Refs..

To be honest Stefen both sides were at fault for the mle, the ref had already blown for it before everyone decided to get involved. It was handbags at 2 paces stuff and could have spoiled what was a good even game but thankfully didn't (there wasn't much agro during the game at all).

Some good chances for both sides with Wharfies clearing off the line  in the 2nd half and the only goal came about due to a bit of a goal mouth scramble.

Norths had a good chance to score in the last seconds.

I thought a good hard match by both sides with nothing really in it, looking forward to the rematch at your place.

You did have the biggest centerer back in the world though, he must be about 10 feet tall

I saw Wests Knights beat Nth Wgtn Rovers 5-1 (on a puuurfect lush green Endeavour pitch - no wind, a nice dewy surface not too wet though, love it!) Score shouldve been about 12-3. Wests missed two pens about 2mins apart (keeper took one and fluffed it), both teams shouldve had more but finishing was atrocious from both sides. I gota say, from what Ive seen from the last 3 or so rounds theres a huge difference between the A and B grades.

Do these 'grades' get mixed up at all after a few rounds or do you just play each team like 10 times or something...?

Some advice for Nth Wgtn, next time try and turn up with everyone wearing the same strip? I saw about 3 different style shirts, 3 different colours of shorts and about 5 different coloured socks. The first rule to being a team is to look like a team. Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest, it annoys me.

Were you with Norths?
I was a tad concerned playing up front with him towering over me. I hate it when a game descends into that sh*t though.
Our guys did get into it too, Yes. Im not blaming norths for the whole thing. Despite what I posted. I think it was bound to happen though. And that ankle tap just set it all off.

Not one of the best games..

I think these Norths teams just like having a winge. Today there was heaps of 'what the f**k are you doing?' and 'retard' being thrown around among themselves. (i dont even think there was a coach there, they shouldve had a bollocking for that kind of nonsense, theyre never going to win with that attitude)

When i saw one of their other teams get burned a couple of weeks ago they were having a cry asking the ref to control the wests bench after they started laughing at their infighting.

Yes Im with Norths but not a player.

You are correct the guy is a big boy (not quite as tall as your centre back though). The ankle tap was silly as was our Captain storming in, suffice to say that won't be happening again.

Also. As of todays We are a goal down on the table we should have 11 Goals for.
Instead we have 10.

Who can fix this? Dont want it to effect our goal differenceStefan2010-04-25 19:12:03

I can't speak for all North Wellington teams, but at our game with Petone I didn't hear any of that sort of stuff. There were a couple of incidents in the game but nothing major and with an official referee it was all pretty good overall.

For those who don't know, it is a two tier competition and there will be no mixing up of the two division apart from where a team is too strong for the lower division.

West have pretty much entered a stronger team than possibly was intended by the competition, but fair enough I guess as long as you get something by beating teams by over ten goals. At least Wests get behind the competition unlike a lot of clubs who don't enter a team.

Yeah I watched the first half before heading down to the lower pitch to watch the Chatham Cup. It was a good clean game. A little bit of the expected niggle but thats ok. The team looked a lot better than the previous Nth Wgtn sides Ive seen play.

Tawa are joining us in U21 B in a few weeks. and a few more to follow.

Disappointing. I was hoping for Promotion. Starting to wish we had played better last year.

Got the wests Under 15's team tomorrow.
Confident but nervous. It could all go wrong.

Its all good for the U21 league though.

Close them down in midfield get lots of balls into the box and on to the head of your giant centre back and you guys will do ok.

Looking forward to playing you guys next week.

Petone 1 - 1 Wests A

Quite a good game, we played fairly poorly in the first half and went in 1-0. Got a bit of a bollocking at half time and came out hard, we really bossed the game and (in my obviously biased opinion) we we were unlucky to score only 1, missed the post by about half a foot on 3 or 4 occasions.

Also Wainui and Stop Out supposedly bringing teams in, which is nice, means we don't have to play the same 3 every month haha
