But back on the subject, The greater wgtn area will have to wait a few more years to have the player base to make the central leaguet more competetive over a greater number of teams.
well I dont think expanding it like some people were in favour of is an option.
Maybe Mr Blobby has a few ideas
El Grapa points to one problem - it doesn't affect competitiveness but removes role models and does affect the standard.

A large part off the lack of competitiveness is the tendency for the best women players, and I saw this in Auckland too, to gravitate toward other elite players so all end up in a couple of teams.  The siphoning of the best to Ak just means the second tier become the new elite.  The strongest teams tend to be the fashionable ones at the particular moment but it can change in a flash.

Thoughts on the game yesterday?
The quote had nothing to do with the game as you know.  It was about your hysterical rant about Wn U's Pom.  You are getting really desperate to blow your trumpet aren't you?
I was asking you your thoughts on Wharf v Upper Hutt game. Do you have any?
Since I didn't see it - No.
I do, however, congratulate you and the team on what you are achieving this year. Good to see.  I do not believe it gives any of you the right to rubbish anyone else's efforts - even if its not my team or club.
I didn't rubbish any team. Though it would have been too easy to respond to your earlier dig at my club with one at yours. There are some good people at your club.

My dig was at your dig at Wn U's effort to progress their game.  Unwise to bring your club into it but...  I think we have a truce?

Sheesh, know how it feels BNU. We gave Massey a hurry up today, 2-1 to them at HT, we had a shot cleared off the line and hit the post in the second half, then they nicked one at the end. Good hard game from both sides, plenty of  tackles flying in. Well done WU ladies.

The scott caoches W/East and Seatoun player coaches Wgtn Girls, so the good players from these 2 will be encourage to play for Seatoun next year.

Hopefully the encouragement is better than the last time " If you want to play in senior football and college first team you need to play for ****** AFC."

I only turned up at the half though from watching masters at Te Whaea.

Wharf win Wimmin Central League, beat Massey 7-1 today, with Renee Leota scoring 5 (think that makes it about 41 in the league for her this season?).

Congratulations to Feverish and his team, thoroughly well deserved, and now the focus is on the Knock-out Cup semis.

Good result.

Amanda mising at the back and Rhonda in goal had a cracker so not as one-sided as the scoreline suggests.

Astute use of home conditions, Greenie, using high balls so that defenders get blinded by the sun. First time I've heard of that tactic.  Well done to the Wharf, 7-1 scoreline says it all.
