What is your problem with what WU are doing, el grapadura/feverish? all you seam to be doing is sitting there making petty comments, I haven't seen you say what you think is wrong with it.

Fuck this stupid game

Nobody but the Wharf can do anything right - and even the Wharf are spending so much for so little.

Ha....no....I will try and break it down a bit for you el grandma....I was suggesting that once again, sad sacks like yourself cannot help themselves bagging those trying to improve things or make a difference. Your wit is only surpassed by your sense of humour. Nothing more. Go back to sleep.

my 'problem' is merely John Dow (in what you posted) having a snide go at Capital Football for not employing this player he has brought over here (unseen). Karori have recently taken on a Soloman Island male player, much like a lot of clubs who have brought in foreign players, however I'm pretty sure they dont all go to CF telling them they need to employ them and then getting the hump when they are told no.  Feverish2011-06-07 22:58:14

Hahahaha - what a great yarn. United bring in someone to try and keep their 'tall poppy' team in the Central League, and try to tell us that this is a great initiative? Because she coaches the Tawa Intermediate team? Because someone, possibly, maybe, perhaps but not quite sure, may get a scholarship to the Netherlands? To do what exactly?

Like I said. Yarn.

Just a question for those involved with Wellington United (that includes you Mumbino, doesn't it?) - why did you play Dutchie on the weekend when you knew she wasn't registered?

Now that your protest is in, you'll find out won't you? we believe she was cleared and there is no case. However I hope you do win as you'll get a 2 nil win awarded instead of a 6 nil win, plus you'll likely pay a fee of $100 for putting in a pointless protest. When goal difference could count at the end of the season, you Einsteins up in Karori could well be the losers.

Greeny you gotta admit, the protest is waste of time and money. You should  have just asked us to put $100 in to Cappy's fund instead and let things go. As it is though CF could now get up to $200 and each club is poorer as is Cappy. What's the point?

Michael, It is good to see you coming out so strongly in support of Capital Football on this issue, you must have a close working relationship with them. Even though your perspective on my comments is factually incorrect your lame defence of a CF "policy" that is clearly not working either fairly or for the good of the game does demonstrate your motivation. It is obviously no coincidence that an initial report being prepared on this issue has shown the Waterside Karori Women's Central League team, of which you are the coach, have been noted as potentially a direct beneficiary of what appears to be a poorly managed "policy". Perhaps the next stage of the investigation into this issue might even reveal grounds for a valid protest by the other clubs in this League in which case you will get the opportunity to present your arguments in the correct forum for dealing with such matters. Unlike your current protest, which is a fundraising exercise for your friends at Capital Football and a further smokescreen to cover up the real issue, this next protest could have half a season of points at stake. Good luck with your Solomon Islander, I admire all clubs for looking to improve their teams and football generally and believe Capital Football should actively support and embrace the same philosophy in a fair and transparent manner.

sorry but if you want to respond then cut the waffle and say 1. Why you think Mareska should be hired ahead of other potential employees, irrespective of what club she (illegally) plays for. 2. Why you played her on the weekend despite not being registered. Look forward to your straight answers.

It's Mariska, she isn't illegally playing and we believe she was cleared to play against your team. But your protest, if it goes ahead, will uncover the facts won't they? We are looking forward to defending ourselves and then asking a valid question of Waterside Karori,  which is why you seem pretty sure of your ground, and then a follow up question of where your information comes from. The reason we would ask this is that the only parties who know the real story are CF and Wellington United, so how come you are now privy to information that is private to both parties. Do you know someone at CF maybe? or are you just making the whole thing up? But we know, don't we, that the protest won't go ahead so that's all irrelevant. Back to the purpose of this this thread, which is WCL. Diamonds vs seatoun is cancelled tomorrow, new time TBC.

As you cunningly know Ken there is no point in us appealing as the Regs would actually penalise us. How I know, well there is a rego system called Goalnet, you might want to try using it some time (and you are lucky your game is canned tomorrow as I see she still isn't registered). Donate the money to your juniors. Now excuse me I am trying to organise a fundraiser. Feverish2011-06-10 23:33:18

Best you apply your time and effort to causes well worth the investment, than commenting on those you very clearly know awfully little about Feverish. Goalnet is a great tool, but it is also a manual solution that relies on human intervention for updates. Save yourself further embaressment, and drop the bone son.

Michael,
Thanks for confirming that you are now responsible for screening CF employees, and overseeing player registrations including international clearances. CF must have a lot of confidence in your ability.
The straight answers are that Mariska was cleared by the Dutch FA on the morning of sundays game and that all the costs associated with her trip to Wellington including international and domestic flights, accommodation, living and playing expenses etc have all been sponsored.
The opportunity of her undertaking initiatives for CF and other organisations was to promote Womens Football and help advance the game here. Any modest koha or payments contributed for her services would assist WU in building a successful relationship with the Netherlands including a scholarship for sending a NZ player over there which we are very keen to do.
We accept that you do not support initiatives of this nature which is your choice and that is fine.
Look forward to your straight answer ---- Can you list the Wharfies Women's Central League Women's players and coaches who have or do receive work directly or indirectly from CF ?? You could add in those who have been offered work through this mechanism and perhaps simply provide the full squad list plus coaches.

Well, considering the shambles that is your club, I wouldn't think you were particularly well qualified to be dishing out advice to other clubs.

But be that as it may, my involvement in this issue was never meant as anything more than a bit of banter - and it wasn't until your chairman took me personally to task over a couple of fairly off-hand comments that I decided to up things a bit.

Your defensiveness about all this seems to suggest to me there's a lot more going on then you're willing to admit to, and that's fine, it's not my concern and I certainly don't intend to further engage in this discussion. Just know that when you try to sell bullsh*t for gold you end up having to answer questions. Simple as that.el grapadura2011-06-12 12:29:33

Is this the sort of robust analysis that was included in your 9 page report to Council and SPARC about Wellington's sporting failings?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

New Zealand Football: Regional rivals clash in ASB Knockout Cup

June 15, 2011

AUCKLAND Clashes between regional league leaders in Dunedin and Wellington are the highlight fixtures in the draw for second round ASBV Womens Knockout Cup fixtures to be played on July 24.

Central League leaders Waterside Karori meet Massey University in the pick of the Central Region ties in Wellington. The two unbeaten teams are separated only by goal difference on the table and played out a 2-2 draw in Palmerston North last month. Seatoun entertain Marist in the other capital clash.

Its a similar picture in Dunedin where Roslyn Wakari lead Dunedin Technical by a solitary point in the Football South Womens League and now entertain their close rivals in cup action. The victor will face the winner of Coastal Spirits match against Western in Christchurch in a third round South Island final.

In the Northern Region, the two rovers - Glenfield and Claudelands are favoured in their clashes against local sides Waitakere and Papamoa respectively. Auckland Championship side Western Springs take on nine-times Cup winners Lynn Avon United, leaving Eastern Suburbs match against Three Kings as the pick of the Auckland fixtures.

The ASB Womens Knockout Cup played along federation lines in early rounds, with the exception of the combined Central Region, becoming national at the semi finals stage and culminating in an August 28 final.

ASB Knockout Cup Draw 2011

Can someone please enlighten me in what the role of the AR"s are in a game. I was under the impression that they were supposed to stay in line with the last defender to watch out for off sides. The two AR's at the Seatoun/UH game yesterday were no where near the last defender, at times 3 m ahead of her, this resulting in three of Seatoun's goals being from offside positions. The Seatoun coach was over heard commenting about the first goal with surprise. Even a Seatoun player commented to an UH player that they new their player was offside for one of the goals.
No wonder the UH goalie lost it and get a yellow for her troubles.

Stop bleating. Upper Hutt's discipline yesyerday was appalling at very best. The incident where they all (maybe eight of the eleven) gave that ironi/sarcastic applause to him was really poor.

The ref have a decsion that went UH's way so the UH players stood and applauded.

UH are having bottom of the table blues. It's all teh referees fault????  Why don't they just stand up and take some personal responsibility???
