Deflected shot and the Glory leads,  1-2. Adelaide were in control of this game but have thrown it away, disappointing

Some pretty dodgy defending on display.

Raises the question of the relative strength of the NSW 'conference' v the Rest of Oz 'conference'.

Only one cross-conference game so far (CCM 3 M City 2)

I know, I know, its serious!

Mauk came across as a bit of a dick head in that half time interview. Surprised he is Adelaide's captain, bit of a hot head on the field too. Can't see them going far with his leadership. Would have thought Juric would be a better pick for C.

The 63% possession Perth had does not suggest Adelaide were in control.

Sure, go ahead and take a full time stat and apply it over the full game. Glory over ran them in the end for the win.

JBS starts for the Roar, looking forward to see how he has developed over the last few years post Nix.

DWH puts Roar 1-0 up. Not sure about Crocombe's keeping technique there

You'd like your keeper to save that but I don't know if it's quite the howler Harper's making out. He's smashed it from 7 yards after all.

2-0 now. MV staring down the barrel of a hiding.

McDonald makes it 2-0. Victory's defense is an utter shambles

McDonald is lovin it, 4-1

That's as poor a 45 mins of football as I've ever seen from a MV side.

Yet weirdly they are still in it!

Brimmer with a free kick just before half time,  4-2

Brisbane's defence is not that great either.

IIRC, CCM v City midweek was the first meeting between the NSW and Non-NSW conferences. Kinda get the feeling that the NSW Conference is far stronger atm. Am I alone in thinking this?

All attack, not much defence. It's working atm

Seems to have been a pattern across the league so far.

This is from before MAC v WSW

Crossover games: 2 Games, 8 goals scored (1 win a piece)

Non-NSW Conference: 14 Games, 49 goals scored

Jets score but an offside ROD is ruled to have interfered with the Keeper. I don't think he saves it even if ROD isn't there tbh

Agreed. Jets a bit unlucky imo.

Different scenario but the recent tinkering with the offside rule is throwing up all sorts of weird variations lately.
