3-0 is a fair result. Sydney didn't turn up. Such a shame we have had a flat finals series.

Best team has won the Premiership and Finals Series. Well played tards.

Three for me, and two for them.

No doubt Victory played brilliantly, but I think Sydney have choked too - how many times have they missed simple passes, or just run the ball out of play? Then there was Jurman's fudgeup at the start of the 2nd half too. It seems like the pressure has really got to them. Maybe they would have been better at Etihad with 30 metres between the pitch and the croud...

That about sums up the Grand final. Disappointing for the neutral.

Khalfallah laughing has to be the best bit of that clip. That was funny! However the 80 year old is a strong old bugger and dusted himself off.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I love the reactions afterward and the dude who saves the toilet seat instead of Frank!

.Massive performance from the Tards. Pressed Sydney all over the park giving them no time whatsoever.

Milligan was amazing with Valeri not far behind.

One sided but that was due to Tards dominance rather that Bling being shark.

Glad you all find the sight of an 80 year old falling over.Remind me to have a laugh when you granny busts a hip.

Just catching up with this bit this morning. WTF was everyone else doing when Lowy fell. Gallop saves the trophy. Milligan stands and watches, FBK laughs then at least is the only player to look to help at least, even the suits start running and then stop. Is everything so scripted that you can't even help an old fella back up these days?

I disagree with the last bit - Sydney were utterly shark. 3 examples stand out - Jurman just leaving the ball at the start of the second half when it was dropping into his goalbox; Tavares playing that freekick straight out; and whoever it was who just ran the ball over the goal line for no reason. Tards played great to put them under pressure but Sydney's response was just to fold

I think by that stage game was well gone for Smurfs even though score may have only been 1 - 0.  Tards had simply choked the life out of them

Sydney's back four were rather poor, that combined with Milligan monstering Dimitrijević there was only ever gonna be one winner. Wasn't the greatest game but the intensity made up for the lack of skill. Playing it at Amy Parks might not have been ideal for the FFA's wallets but that created one heck of an atmosphere.

Probably the best game I've seen of Milligan in a long while.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Milligan was immense.

Melbourne deserved winners, to be fair.

My reaction was shock, then worried that he was ok, then found it funny after finding out he was ok.

Certainly getting on a bit for stage-diving.

Why was certain sections of the croud booing him when he came out?

Persecution complex.  We may have West Sydney tagged as the most self-important fans but they were following in the footsteps of some elements of the Victory fan base.

Plus they think he's a Sydney fan due to past history.

"Police praised the behaviour of the majority of soccer fans at AAMI Park, but said the match was marred by the behaviour of "hardcore, problematic and persistent" fans, unique to football."

lol.

Go to any AFL game and I guarantee you will see at least 20 drunk bogans having fights. Australian police don't know how to deal with football crouds at all. They think heightening police presence and being tougher actually makes things better, when actuality it makes it far worse.

I've been to a hell of a lot of Victory games since moving here, and I've never felt threatened.

I didn't get to go to the GF - honestly, I'm still a little depressed at the way the Nix went out + I had other things on - but I heard the atmosphere was the best it's been in 10 years. Of course the AFL-centric media will want to take the gloss off that; this isn't some tin-foil hat conspiracy theory stuff either, it's pretty deliberate and has been going on since I moved here.

Of course the FFA are Sydney-centric; they're based there, most of their employees live there etc.

What a day/night. We'll never have another like it. No way will we ever have another GF at our gorgeous little football ground, against our arch rival, playing them off the park, with Leigh flipping Broxham scoring the sealer. One to savour.
