Nunawading City sit eighth in the third tier of Victorian football with five league wins from 17 games but they've romped to a 4-0 win against NPL Victoria opponent Hume City to make the @AustraliaCup Round of 32.

Shame, now SMFC can only beat them 4 times this season rather than 5

Honestly, it would be awesome if it happened and for the Nix a fantastic gate if they were the home team.

So we have a trip to Tasmania! Oops, no we're just listed beside them.

Perth Glory in the ro32 honestly could be worse
I think this has been asked before, but are Sutton and Wootton eligible to play for the Glory in the Cup?
Having played for the Nix in Darwin

Rollo was saying they were cuptied on Twitter. But then some folk said the rules had changed 🤷♂️

If they do end up cup tied, Brian Kaltak would also be cup tied for Perth

Bit of a pain, having to haul themselves all the way to Perth for this one.
Am sure they would have preferred a weekend on the Gold Coast.
Hope all the Perth newbies play as it will be good to see them
How were these games televised in NZ last year?

So based off this, Scott Wootton, Sam Sutton (and Brian Kaltak) are all free to play for Perth Glory against Wellington Phoenix in the Australia Cup. Seems fair to have amended that rule. https://t.co/5iMIqxkYuc pic.twitter.com/nE3qRhuphF

Phillip Rollo confirming the rule change and that they won't be cup tied
Edit: Although credit should really go to Ethan Fransen who found the rule change and pointed it out to Phillip Rollo:
Rules have changed for 2025, specifically clause C deals with Sutts/Wootshttps://t.co/lQWAaENa6H pic.twitter.com/2wyii6kPiv

If ACFC can draw against Boca, I'm sure we can draw at Perth and win the penalty shoot out.
Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Absolutely. Perth aren’t even any good.
That mentality of always playing the victim is a right load of shark.
Perth have invested a lot of money in their squad this year. it's like they are going for broke and will either tear up the A League or go broke.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

So the Wrexham game is 19th July and r32 Cup game vs Perth will be in the weeks following???
Thats less than a month away. Considering how quiet its been on transfer front we will probably have a lean squad with mainly the kids. Perth have significantly strengthened their squad. It will be a tough game. Im not confident

We still have a lot of senior players, I expect a side much closer to full strength in the round of 32 this year than what we usually serve up for the round of 32. We really just need to add a single forward to have a half decent side.
We lost 3 starters since the last game. LKH is a downgrade on Sutts but can do a job in the A-League. Payne proved he can fill in for Wootts at CB when he played there last season, until we get a new CB, and Sheridan or Piper are decent RB understudies.
The bigger issue is whether Chiefy can instill some confidence and coherency into the team in July. Hard to be hopeful on that front but we hope regardless

window for signings in ALM is from July 1, so we wont be getting any announcements until after then.
Queenslander 3x a year.

Eight days seems like a decent rest between games even with the travel, could’ve been a lot rougher on our players.
