Germain coming off for Mat Millar, looking absolutely furious at the 4th official

Beautiful square pass from Burgess across the goalline for Mak to make it 4:0.

For my money, Max Burgess MOTM. Very industrious and positive on the right of the field.

With all the injuries Sydney is picking up, maybe we want to play them after all.

Let's hope tomorrow's game is better than that one.

Demolition.
All over.
Let me check: if Victory win tomorrow, Sydney is playing the Mariners? And if M City wins?

Victory win = CCM/Sydney & Nix/Victory
City win = CCM/City & Nix/Sydney

Sydney have what it takes to make the GF and win it. It would suck, but they're peaking at the right time

Our boy Tommy Smith turned like an ocean liner there. I don't think i've ever seen someone less nimble lol. You've gotta laugh.

Also I assume we want Macarthur to win given whenever we play them we usually hump them?

I don't think Corica & co presumably watching from Auckland would have been impressed

Sydney look dangerous, I would be a bit worried if we have to play them.

Then again I'm worried about having to play at AAMI as well - I was really hoping for a Macarthur and City win but oh well

I think we are going to have to beat two very good teams to win the comp regardless. What will help no matter what is home advantage. I want us to host the grand final, and I think Sydney playing the Mariners is our best hope of that. I watched the most recent Sydney Mariners game and Sydney absolutely had their number. So I'm hoping Victory gets it done tonight.

To be fair on Ugarkovic, he's carving himself out a position as Right Full back.
In the recent seasons he's not done it as a DM.

Ugh, that had been coming for awhile. City open the scoring, 0-1

Huge block by him to stop a goal. 0-1

For gods sake he hasn't even touched his face. The studs landed on his chest. Still a red though in today's football world.

Absolutely. It was a really disgusting sight. I'd be mortified if a Nix player did the same.

If we get Melbourne City in the semi, it's going to be a great test for everyone but particularly Rufer and Pennington. Rufer can Prove his Serie A credentials.

Only way we can face City is in the Grand Final.

If Victory don't score then both elimination finals ruined have been ruined by reds. Both stupid reds too, one of which should never have been given and one of which was completely needlessly given away. Also the pitch was in a terrible state last night, as was the Sydney crowd turnout for a "derby". Bad start to the finals series.

That Sydney pitch has been getting progressively worse ever since super rugby and NRL seasons began - looks truly terrible now.

If City do win this, do we think the Syd v Nix semi will be on Friday? As the Sydney Football Stadium is in use for rugby and league on both Sat and Sun

Yeah, it will most likely be Friday night. 0-1
