Victory with 3 games coming up this week. And Kruse out injured. Popa will be doing everything possible to convince Rojas to stay in Aus.

Yeah, during the pointy end of the qualifiers we'll have Champness, De Jong, Just, McCowatt, Grieve and Rogerson, so there’s no desperate need to take him over and with a schedule like that I can imagine Popovic is pretty keen to keep him too. Same situation as Boxall though, in that it gives someone else the opportunity to perform in important games and lessens the chance of you playing in any bigger games later in the year.

That’s the thing for Rojas right. He knows he’s now a marginal selection re the AWs. But it’s WC year and the AWs are a serious shot of being there.

He don’t go to the OFC tourney and his chances just reduce that bit more. But he goes there and does well, he creates a selection (welcome) headache for Hay. Surely he’d say to Poppa, come on it’s everyone’s dream to go to a WC! Poppa was there himself with the Socceroos in 2006.

City knocked out after former Victory player, Raul Baena scored a 91st min equaliser for Kitchee against Vissel Kobe.

On paper, City had the easiest Group an A-League team had faced in ages. Very disappointing result for them.

City open their ACL campaign at 10pm vs Ventforet Kofu (Japan).

CCM are away in their AFC Cup Group to Terengganu FC (Malaysia) at midnight. I think Macarthur play tomorrow.

Just when you thought Woud's career was looking almost dead & buried. He's in goal for Ventforet Kofu at AAMI Park!

They rested 7 players from the weekend I read, so definitely a back up. Maybe the Auckland club should look at snapping him up?

City hold on for a 0-0 draw, sounds like Ventforet Kofu were all over them.

CCM lose 1-0, had a thousand chances & couldn't finish them but conceded an oggie just before half time.

Macarthur beat Shan United 0-3. Glen Moss sat on the bench, with no Kurto named. I wonder if they have left him out to meet the ACL visa restrictions.

City concede a goal in added time to finish with a draw. On the verge of being knocked out now, they need some other teams to lose to progress as one of the 2nd best qualifiers.

CCM progress with a 0-3 win, however results don't go City's way to progress as one of the best 2nd placed sides.

Great effort from a J2 team to top their ACL group, especially considering they were rotating their squad (incl Michael Woud in goal) in the early pool games, as they seemed to be focusing more on trying to make the J2 promotion playoffs.
