Yeah I don't think Spoonley or even Piney are that great at commentary that they should be flown to Wellington and Auckland respectively for every A-League game, I'd rather there were local commentary teams for both.

Hope so, hell Sky even have an hour for the build up. Not sure that's ever happened for the nix!

Are we firing up?
Weird feeling! Keen to support the NZ team, but it’s not my team.
What can we say instead of firing up?

Nah, firing up is ours mate.
I'm just following for how the Kiwi players go to be honest. Im far too tribal to back another football team, especially a rival. It just doesn't sit well with me.
God forbid I ever see someone wearing one of those half and half strips as well.

Just watching the port march in to the ground, and got me thinking ahead of the derby in December.
The away bay is going to be right above and along that walkway as they walk down to the South Stand.
Just an observation. But would be an excellent spot for some flags and banners. 👀

Some strong active support making good noise. That was always something I wasn't really sure would happen up there but they seem to be pretty fired up, love it

Admittedly they timed that poorly, should’ve waited until haka was over to walk out. But it’s still grossly disrespectful to chant and wave a tifo around mid haka.

A 'we are top of the league' chant breaks out. Whatever the result, this a great occassion for the continued growth of football in NZ.

If anything it's more disrespectful to the fans to have a haka while their team is doing their first ever walk out. Let them cheer.

Anyway since the other matches thread is forbidden, this brisbane team can't defend to save their lives.
