Macarthur FC - Can we buy a card from you?

waaaaaay better than the bitumens, but very American in its style - Aussie is just little America though right?

It's annoying we have yet another club with black and yellow as their predominant colours, if they go with stripes it will be us, them and CCM looking very similar.

It's Ochre. Much, much, and very, very different.

Hope they go with a predominately white kit.

so darker than yellow, more like CCM's colour.

I read a while back that they'd be black and white stripes with ochre outline, similar to England's Newcastle - not sure if still true

It's a shame, and I think with WU doing green and black stripes, there will be more than a few teams looking pretty similar.

And also I hope Macarthur do black/gold ultra thin hoops if not full white.

I wonder if the team will run out to the  tune of MacArthur Park?

Sources close to the negotiations suggest Macarthur FC will gain complete access to Campbelltown Stadium for practically free, paying one dollar for all operating costs. They will only be required to pick up the tab for staffing costs such as security, policing, food and beverage. It gives the club the flexibility to tailor staffing to the expected attendance of each fixture as part of a proposal that allows them to retain any and all profits made from the gate.

Devil will be in the detail, are they just gonna pay for all the costs to run stuff and the Council take all the food & drinks money? And just how much are they gonna have to pay when NSW Police decide the derbies need the riot cops at the venue?

The club would save so much, there'd be no more need for the travelling circus. Dump Spotless and rent out the food outlets to Maccas, Subway, BK etc etc.

In the real world, the Stadium Trust are too busy grabbing money off the Nix to subsidise the Rugby getting it cheap.

Are not Wgtn Rugby share holders as they invested the proceeds of the sale of Athletic park?

Why though?  The Aussie idea of a member isn't the same as a season ticket holder.

why not? How cool would it be to have a one off shirt that recognised you as a foundation member - which the nix refer to  season pass holders who have been so since day one.

Yellow Fever foundation members need no shirt to identify them. They already have perfectly good scar tissue on their foreheads, from repeatedly beating their heads against a brick wall.

I, for one, am really looking forward to them in the league. Nice stadium, great area for shopping. Fly over Friday, come home Sunday. Nice little weekend. Accommodation cheap within 500 meters of the stadium and train station PLUS about 9 eating places/watering holes within that distance!
