I'll just let that sink in.

Going to the game. Will be interesting to see how many actual Heart supporters turn out. I'm assuming not many.

D-Mac scored for the Heart against the Melbourne Knights on Wednesday, that is his 7th goal in 3 pre-season games for them.

Sounds like Red Star can't pay the rest of Babalj's transfer fee, and Heart have a clause saying they get him back if that was the case.

Eli Babalj will return to Melbourne Heart FC from Red Star Belgrade for the remainder of this season and the 2013-14 Hyundai A-League campaign.

Babalj will link up with teammates this Saturday for Heart’s round 18 Hyundai A-League clash with Western Sydney Wanderers at Parramatta Stadium, should his international clearance be processed.

Good news for Heart, not so good news for Tadic and very bad news for DMac.

Permalink Permalink

Babalj & Tadic up front might be a pretty good combination. Depends if they change their structure to play them together. D-Mac might be spare, we could use a proper target man...

Reports saying that Vince Grella is retiring, effective immediatly. Only played 25 minutes for the Heart as well.

EDIT: Confirmed by club:

NEWS | Melbourne Heart FC confirms Vince Grella will retire from professional football effective immediately. More news to follow.

Nice to see he didn't sit around picking up a final pay check from the Heart. Guess he got plenty of cash from his Rovers 'career'.

Permalink Permalink

He played over 300 games in Italy so his 30 games for Blackburn are hardly a  'career'

That was the point, he played 30 games in 4 years with us. Not denying he didn't have a good career in Italy.

It has been talked about for awhile, they let Goodwin go because they had him. Now they have no left back.

Ray Gatt @Gatty54

My info is that Jobe Wheelhouse turned down Heart a few days ago...I'd suggest he will have a break from game and may even retire
