Not sure where to put this but when I was in Sydney last week I read that now that the Swans have signed up to Moore Park for the next coupla decades a decision has near enough been made to fit out the Olympic Stadium with a permanent rectangular pitch and closer seating for use by the other three codes.

What size crowd for WSW v FC next year?

Told ya.

Pitch layout for Spotless Stadium

Yeah, no way there's 40 metres from the goal to the nearest seat at the RoF.

I guess that ANZ and Spotless Stadium are both managed by the same people (Olympic park?) so they can probably get a discount on using both venues, and the potential income from a few derbies at ANZ must be pretty enticing, but it seems like they've chosen a pretty crappy option with Spotless for most matches. On the other hand, I guess it's still to the west of Sydney without being as far out as other options like Penrith or Campbelltown. Both of those are good-sized rectangular grounds though, unlike this oval abomination.

Any predictions for derby crowds at ANZ? 50,000? 60,000? More?

More if both sign big name marquees. They'll fill it.

They'll be using ANZ and Spotless due to the Parramatta Stadium being demolished and rebuilt after the NRL finishes up, right?

The fans will hate being 40m away..

Wow. Impressive.

It looks great but the Kiwi sports fan in me would worry about the wind & rain getting you wet whilst waiting for a hot dog & chips with the lack of outer cladding around 3 of the 4 stands

Both would have been at Sydney Airport because they played Melbourne City away on the 6th.

I think this is harsh on WSW/RBB fans. It's not them or their fans, this is just two disgusting people. Photos have been taken/chosen off social media and they have a big problem in Australia with media trying to paint football as all hooligans while protecting their beloved AFL makes me think those chose these photos for a reason.

Yep, people from all backgrounds do horrible things. Often the people who appear to be the most upstanding are the worst.

I'm sure that even the Phoenix have supporters who have done horrible things. Perhaps not to the same level as that fudgeed up shark, but no supporter base is squeaky clean.

Not really something we can/should hold over WSW at all.

yep.

But then, if you didn't know which team they supported and someone made you guess, you'd totally say WSW.

Western Sydney Wanderers have put the Red and Black Bloc on notice, declaring they will shut down the active supporter group's reserved area if there is any sign of antisocial behaviour during the club's glamour friendly against Premier League giants Arsenal on Saturday night.

Didn't see the game, but just viewed a 21 minute highlight package that was 20 minutes of Arsenal taking the piss and one WSW goal from a indirect free-kick in the 6 yard box. Roly touched the ball three times during the highlights and gave it away twice.

I just watched the goals highlights of about 4 minutes, not much to get excited about. Arsenal clinical and WSW a bit lost.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet
