Rumours of discontent in the Wanderers squad over Babel's methods, sounds like he works them harder than Popa did.

Btw time to change the thread title since they are no longer sponsors?

Rumors say A-League training is pretty lazy and non-competitive. Good on Babble to inject some German work ethics.

Their new kit leaked?

Babbel dropping the truth bombs

SH: One interesting tactical switch you have made is to move Roly Bonevacia from the centre of the park to the wing - why did you make that change?

MB: Because Roly is sloppy - he is a sloppy player. He brings everything, he runs, he is quick, he is good physically, technically good. But his passes are sometimes awful - he can do so much better. If you play a number ten who can’t play a key pass, then it makes no sense for me to put him in there. What I do know though - Roly can score goals. As a winger, if he misses the pass, or a cross, then it’s not so dangerous for us than when he loses the ball in the centre. If he learns to concentrate and is not so sloppy in his passing, then he can be an outstanding player.

Be interesting if they try and identify the female spectator who’s voice is clearly voicing her thoughts about the performance.

9 home games to go most at ANZ  till me Stadium is opened

This new Western Sydney Stadium (or Bankwest Stadium) where WSW are playing at next season looks an awesome stadium. It opened last night with Eels vs Tigers rugby league match, over 29,000 there. Probably won't seem as cool when nearly empty though!

This could be a hammering by Leeds, WSW's defense can't cope with Leeds high press. Currently 0-1

20 Jul 10:08

WSW 0 - Leeds 1 at half time, Leeds butchered a couple easy chances.

20 Jul 10:19

Damn that's a nice stadium! Great crowd too something Welnix can learn from.

Yeboah gets in behind the Leeds defence, 1-1

20 Jul 10:35

Very nice goal

20 Jul 10:52

WSW doing well for there first real preseason hit out.

20 Jul 10:55

WSW doing good to hold in there. Leeds a class above, especially attacking them on the wings, getting crosses in every time.

20 Jul 11:13

Leeds win it 2-1 with basically the last kick of the game. WSW were much better in the second half, helped by some poor finishing by Leeds.

The new stadium was bankrolled by the NSW Govt, not WSW.

Not sure there is much Welnix can learn from that.

WSW's first game at the refurbed Parramatta ground?  Couple that with playing a high profile English club (knew a Leeds fan flying down from QLD for the game), and you would always expect a big crowd.

Seemed like a cheap attempt to have a dig at the board. I'm envious of wsw that they're able to play in a good rectangular stadium, but I don't blame the board for the fact we don't.

May have turf problems earlier than expected.

“NRL: Games limit on Bankwest

Sydney’s stadium headaches have stretched to the freshly minted Bankwest Stadium as officials attempt to change a rule limiting the venue’s capacity to 49 sporting contests in the course of the year. While that rule — contained in a planning document governing the use of the stadium — isn’t a problem now, it threatens to become one as the ground prepares to become the epicentre of rugby league when both Allianz and ANZ Stadiums are out of action.During that period, Canterbury and South Sydney have already announced they will take games to Bankwest, marking a significant increase in the number of games that will be played at the ground from 2021.It is understood NSW government officials have already begun working on increasing the number of games that can be played at the venue to 70, a move that would ease the concerns of not only the NRL, but the clubs planning to move to the ground.Government sources played down the significance of the clause limiting the number of games, insisting they deliberately chased events and the restriction was a carry-over from the old Parramatta Stadium, which was demolished to make way for Bankwest.Venues NSW is believed to be working feverishly behind the scenes to appease the concerns of those who could be affected.”
