so no away games for Sturridge then? He's being paid marquee wages for half a season, does that mean he wont play in any finals games unless they are in Perth?

He is with the team in Melbourne. Sage doesn't understand load management & is drawing unnecessary attention cuz he is Sage.

It is the same thing we went thru with Hemed/Hooper etc, you sign these top players with injury histories & have had no pre-season so need to ease them into the season so you don't break them.

Joe Gallen is an excellent signing. He was great at QPR coaching the youngsters until the Spurs Mafia moved in - Chris Ramsey & Les Ferdinand

Behind a pay wall but it seems as though the stadium is being re-developped and that re-development is behind schedule. Glory are having to build a temporary stadium, AKA the Hutt Rec, and lighting is a concern (AKA the Hutt Rec), but the council is footing some of the costs.

Surprising that in a city the size of Perth they can't find another stadium, even if it's an oval.

Seems the APL didn't like the option they put forward as a replacement.

Yeah, tough on them. They had two years to develop the stadium without impacting the glory, should have taken the opportunity then.

7k capacity after the upgrades/temp stands. Atmosphere will be awesome but Sage will be losing a ton of cash. Might even be season ticket holders only?

PER v CCM and PER v BRI were scheduled before December 10th, the CCM fixture has been reversed and BRI is still TBC.

The Nix spent pretty much 2 seasons based in Australia. At least Perth will still have a large contingent of fans able to attend their games. It says a lot about our board that they managed.

Wonder if Sail is nervous? Zadkovich looked to me like he was doing all the right things at Perth, in a very much Nick Montgomery kind of model. Something is going on there and so far it looks like a massive change for the club, unprecedented in its history.

Wonder if Uffie is in for this role?

Can see the stars aligning on this one, although it certainly won't help him get over his fear of flying if his name does end up in the mix. 😅
