Sounds like he is hearing Gestede is on his way to the Victory as well.

Missed this the other day

In a further development, the Jets have given Joe Champness permission to train with rivals Brisbane and are considering a loan deal with the Roar.
The silken-skilled winger agreed to a two-year extension with the Jets before jetting off to Los Angeles 14-months ago to pursue a hip-hop career but now wants to link with his home-town club.
"Joey is back at home but he has not played for a year and a half," McKinna said. "We have given him permission to train with Brisbane and there is the possibility of a loan deal for a season."

Macarthur have gone 'budget' on their visas, I wonder if they are the ones bringing in Brockie on trial.

I doubt it, if they didn't want Rufer why would they want Brockie?

Who said they were chasing Rufer? He re-signed pre covid, so rather unlikely they were look at cheaper visa options back then.

This seems to have started with a '5 AFC players the A-League should look at article' but Indonesian football Twitter thinks Ryuji Utomo is off to the A-League.

Markel Susaeta and Beñat Etxebarria are close to sharing a dressing room again. The two ex-rojiblancos have well advanced negotiations with the same Australian club, but the agreement between the parties is not official yet.The operation is still pending a series of bureaucratic issues

If the bureaucracy does not prevent it, Beñat will play with Susaeta at Macarthur FC,a club based in Sydney, New South Wales, recently created.

Born and raised in Scotland. Signed to an SPL club (if not getting any game time). Maybe will be loaned out to a Scottish lower tier club like he was last season.

Don't really see him as a candidate to travel all the way across the other side of the world, for the moment. Esp as he would be no gtee of getting game time at the Nix either. And with the club's 2nd team (Weenix) in a different country, could just be tiddling his thumbs training for several months in Australia.
