Random comment: My friend at work is Callum’s best friend, he was asking me what the A League was like a couple of weeks ago as he knew I was a big Nix fan!

Where the hell is city finding the cap space.

The Arab owners might be registering and paying them at other clubs and “loaning” them to Melbourne City to get around the cap.

Pretty sure that loophole was closed and the source contract of the loanee is counted in the cap.

Kinda. They changed it to money paid to the player & club or 50% of the players wages at their parent club, whatever is highest.

The "Caceres rule" also would hinder them hiding cap offshore

interesting that Burgess wants to move on, given Rudan discovered him and gave him his first real crack at first team football.

Queenslander 3x a year.

If the likes of City, Adelaide and maybe even Perth were tapping him on the shoulder he'd be very silly not to consider it.
Not reprinting for training however is a pretty low blow. Very unprofessional

From an earlier post apparently "WS Wanderers have turned down an approach from Western United star Max Burgess' representatives, fearing a perceived conflict of interest with Robinson's management."

He's a Sydney boy.

Just reported that three A-League clubs have signed a total of 10 players from NPL club Marconi Stallions. The clubs involved are WSW, mcArthurs Park and ?? Hard to imagine there are 10A-League quality players at Marconi but I guess some might be juniors. Just shows that with the financial screws tightening the local leagues will be plundered for players. Season starts in nearly two months...hope Uffie has some nice surprises for us.

Nix have some logistic issues. They will have players currently in NZ and in OZ. Bringing Devlin, Piscopo etc back to NZ involves two weeks quarantine. Do they get everyone over here for preseason and then go to OZ lockup or go early and preseason there where you will get decent warmup, games.

Wasn't the plan to go to Aus early and take advantage of not having to quarantine in NSW? Or am I making it up completely?

Macroni being a Italian heritage club, he's probably already using a Gillette Sensor.

Jets obviously pulled a sneaky, not announcing Fitzgerald's release cuz the Indian transfer window closed the other day.

Tongue in cheek comment of course, but I always believed Ibini never lived up to his full potential
