Wth is so great about Newcastle, what made McGarry interested in joining them? Has a chance to pursue an opportunity overseas and become a more impressive player but instead decides this is better.
Was he linked with another club as well as Newcastle?

Not sure if this has been mentioned on here yet but Daniel Penha who left the Jets at the end of last season and was rumored to have interest from Sydney FC has joined Daegu FC in the K League.

He tried overseas and it failed, must think that proving himself at aleague level is the way to go for now

Wonder if this is Juric's replacement or if they are still looking to sign maybe an import striker.

6 month loan with an option to buy him, great work from the Roar.

Brisbane could be one of the teams to beat this season. It would be a shame for them if they ended up like Glory did last season or Austin failed to impress, similar to Sturridge.

Holmes
Neville Aldred Trewin
Hingert Chapman O'Shea Brown
Danzaki Austin Mileusnic

Not sure if they keep Matti Steinmann, his visa slot would be better used on a CB.

I thought Holmes and Brown were now free agents.

Roar are terrible at announcing contract lengths, in their release for Holmes they just said he had signed https://www.brisbaneroar.com.au/news/brisbane-roar-sign-olympian-jordan-holmes

I haven't seen any indication that he isn't under contract with them for next season at this stage.

According to transfermarkt, both Holmes and Browns' contracts ended last season. Though whether people trust transfermarkt is up to them.

It is also most likely not up to date just yet.

A quality signing it would be for Sydney and the A-League. Rogic was still pretty young when he was at the Mariners and Victory and wasn't really given much of a chance. He has grown up and improved significantly during his time at Celtic and will be a completely different player to what he was in his early A-League days.

He’s been the source of Dons fans nightmares and fury for years. Just when I thought I’d seen the last of him, some guy posted a pic of him in Sydney yesterday , now this 😤 ffs.

doesnt matter how much he is getting, it'll be outside whatever teams salary cap and half of it will be funded by the league.

Queenslander 3x a year.
