Elemenop
Why can't we sign someone like that 😞
RR
These are his last 4 seasons.
130 games - 12 goals/10 assists. With the minutes he's played it's the equivalent of 65 full games he's logged.

Alright, fair play in that he's had a long and half decent career with a bit of success, but he's 33 now, and as we've seen over the last little while we're likely to move away from these type of signings in the A-League going forward. Macarthur of course are trying to build a 'presence' so they're probably thinking someone like this might give them a bit of x-factor, get crowds in, generate a bit of interest etc etc.

Goals/90 of 0.18 (let's call it 1 in 5) in the last four season against a career average of about double that at 0.35.
No resale value.

Sure he might get a few in a league not as hotly contested as the environment he would have faced in France, but to me, a signing like that is just a wee bit of risky business.

Damn City will be strong again this year it seems with their clear out I thought they may have a rebuilding year this year but with the signings they've made so far and will make, as long as they perform above average they'll probs be the team to beat.
I think a big reason they're having so much success is being able to pick up and hold the best local talent that wants to be in the A-League the likes of Maclaren, Nabbout, Leckie, Good and now this guy seems like he'll be on the higher end of local quality.

Compassionate grounds to sign for a club in a country he has never lived in? Okay then ...
