He's probably sick of media scrutiny around his weight, form, injury record etc.

Well it’s possibly an odd use of language because it makes it sound like Saudi and the MLS weren’t interested in him. Doing some interpretation suggests he might want to be able to walk around and have something of a normal life? Definitely possible in Aussie.

I actually googled this and it might also mean something to go with the negotiation process and the league’s involvement in that. Whereas the A league is less that way? I heard, for example, that marquee players can be vetoed by other clubs and so on in the US.

Warm news coming from Brazil. Forward Fábio Gomes (26) can reach @SydneyFC for this season. Fábio belongs to @Atletico, but is assigned to @ECJuventude. Has passages through MLS, acting for @NewYorkRedBulls. Via @lucascbretas

Looks like CCM coach Nick Montgomery to be the new Hibernian Coach according to reports.

I wonder what his departure will do for the club - great move for him.

With all the outgoings from clubs like CCM and Adelaide they aren't looking too promising for this upcoming season unless they've found some hidden gems. Looking at the whole A-League squads atm I'd say only City is comfortably better than ours.

WSW and Sydney have a solid base with import slots available so I expect them to be better than ours when the season starts.

Western and MacArthur have made some decent signings but still unknown how they'll do especially MacArthur their defence looks pretty bad. Victory squad stinks of out of form players and past-it players. The rest of the teams don't look particularly strong but we'll see once the window ends. Does make me lil bit more optimistic about our chances that the league this year may be a lot weaker than in other years.
