Did you know that you can see the final league tables of all the previous friendly leagues you have played in? I didn't. I always thought after the league finished they were gone.

If you click on Friendly League - History they are all there.

I forgot that the second Fever League was 10 teams...

probably stupid question, but do players always reach their potential? or is it just what they are capable of?

Players usually peak around age 28/29, so they'll often be half a star or so lower when they finish blooming. I'd assume the potential is with a level 10 training ground, so lower levels == less effective training == lower ratings. Obviously, the accuracy of the estimate of their potential depends on the quality of your scouts -- I think its the dev and youth stats that matter when judging youth potential.

Sometimes it can take a fair few seasons to get that last half star too. My left back was 4.5 for a few seasons, then randomly one day I noticed he was 5 stars. 

It took me a long time to figure that out myself, I kept overpaying for 3.5 star potential guys when they take until about 23 sometimes to even just reach three stars. Still probably am a little bit guilty of it. 

Think I guilty of doing the same. Good to know for the future

Why did no-one show up to the match?

Is there a reason players sometime show as lower star ratings than they are?

I have a youth signing in my reserves that seems to do something weird on my tactics screen. He's a 4.5 pot so going to play him anyway but just want to understand what is happening.

He shows as currently 3* and able to play D/DM L. When placed at DM L shows as 3 star. However if placed  as D L he appears to drop to 2.5 stars? No sad face etc just a straight drop of a half *. Is this some mechanic I don't know about? A bug? 

Yeah thats just positioning, some players are slightly better in particular positions, aka thsi guy would be 3* at DML, yet 2.5 at DL. Happens with some players.

Ah so just based on what his actual stats are it thinks he is a better DM L than a DL? But he's not actually dropping stats or anything strange like that.

Makes sense I guess. 

Although I've seen strikers that are 3.5* with like 1-2 in finishing and longshots. Surely this same mechanic should be dropping them to like 1 star? ;)

The stars are an adding up of sorts of stats that are considered important for the position. So it does occasionally happen, especially if their positions are midfield/defence. 

I remember before stars, when you actually had to look at players stats yourself and judge how good they were. Those were the days. 

It's an interesting one. I always assumed it was mostly just based on total skills cos I'm certain I've spotted players at least a half star higher that I feel would be worse in a given position. Maybe I'm just a terrible judge of players though! 

I will admit I have yet to see a star rating that was wildly off for the position though so that would explain it rather than the clearly nonsense system I thought it was working on :)

I think physical stats always boost it up a bit. 

does changing my name mid season have any ramofications?

Yeah, believe you have to pay a certain amount of PRO days - I can find out how many if you wish. I think you had 20 days once signing up to change your team name, then it started to cost PRO days.

Didn't know could change it at the start. But want to change now. Have pro days from free surveys but will it effect the league or fever league if I change name mid season

Wouldn't imagine so. Think all that stuff is identified by club ID rather than name. They wouldn't have left such a big bug like that in. 

Yeah that wouldn't make a difference I'd say, it's 20 PRO days to change by the way.
