Yellow Fever League - Brockies Goals Edition

With a couple of weeks left in the current league, it's that time again to start planning for next season!

If you're interested in joining again or if you are new (sign up at www.trophymanager.com and..) post below.

I'm happy to continue doing the weekly tables and the fair play, as well as awarding pro days to winners as follows:

Premiership - 18 days

Division 2 - 15 days

Division 3 - 12 days

Division 4 - 10 days

Fair play - 7 days

Golden boot per division - 7 days

Also remember not to request or accept any other league invites, as you can only be a part of one at a time.

As usual, if anybody wants to help out or contribute anything else (e.g match write ups/summaries, donating further pro days for new or current rewards) feel free!

I also realise I am starting to slack a lot at this, between study, work and football its tough to fit doing the tables in at a consistent time, so sorry about that. And any write ups have completely disappeared. So if anyone wishes to contribute write ups, feel free. Or if you do think you can do a better job than I currently am (wouldn't be hard :p) then you're welcome to take over. I'm still happy to do it though, as long as you guys don't mind it being a bit shite ;)

I'm in. Might be able to help, but time can end up being a big issue for me during the week as well.

I'm in - happy to take fair play & Div 4 again.  Now that I have the internet back up and running full time I'll hopefully have a chance to fix some of the holes in my squad.  Might b able to do a few write ups as well.

Yeah sorry :/ assignments and work piling up.

Need to chase up those who haven't signed up yet, since due to being offseason not everyone checks forums.

I won't be able to do that for a week maybe, I'm too swamped. So if someone else wants to kick it off sooner, go ahead.

OK, here is the divisions taking into account the promotion and relegation from the last league. Teams in bold have confirmed they are entering again. If your team in not in bold, please post here ASAP to show that you're interested. Similarly, new players please post here too so we can enter them in.

NB there may be some further shuffling of divisions based on the number of entrants so your position isn't set in stone just yet...

  2. Thunderthighs United
  3. Peow FC
  4. Sky Valley
  5. Sanchez AFC

Division Two

  1. Wellington Phoenix FC

  3. Tawa AFC
  4. Waikato Whippingboys

OK, I've sent PMs in Trophy Manager to the following clubs:

  • Tawa AFC (last seen 3 April)
  • Racing Club North Shore (last seen 29 March)
  • Surge Thunder FC (last seen 28 April)
  • The Dirty Burgers (last seen 29 April)
  • Naenae A.F.C. (last seen 22 April)
If anybody has real life / twitter / whatever contact with the managers, or knows of anybody else who may be keen to join, feel free to put the pressure on too.

Think Naenae AFC said they weren't going to join in this time round. Will tweet Tawa AFC and surge.

Thanks for getting this going!

You're in time for this round -- haven't set up the divisions yet. Will be finalising them and starting to send out the invites in TM in the next day or so. At this stage we've got 20 teams entered so its looking like this edition will be four 5-team divisions.

Haven't sent them yet. Will sort out the divisions either tonight or tomorrow depending on how much time I have. First game of the next round should be next Tuesday.

There'll be a post in here when the invites are sent.

OK, twenty teams it is. This means one team has to drop from div two to div three. I have impartially chosen Naenae soccer club because (a) who cares about Naenae, (b) they were the second placed team in div three so if there were only one promotion spot in the first place they would have missed out, and (c) having won the last Fever League, I figured Tegal can cope with one of his alternate teams not promoting. Besides, the other way of doing it would have to relegated three teams from last years div 2 and I didn't want to anger our future national coach by relegating the Whippingboys.

So, the final grouping for the 11th edition of the Yellow Fever League is:

Premiership

  1. Tegal (defending champions)
  2. Thunderthighs United
  3. Peow FC
  4. Sky Valley (promoted)
  5. Sanchez AFC (promoted)

Division Two

  1. Wellington Phoenix FC (relegated)
  2. Khandallah Lokomotiv (relegated)
  3. Tawa AFC
  4. Waikato Whippingboys
  5. Earthquake City (promoted)

Division Three

  1. Naenae soccer club (unlucky runners up)
  2. Elite F.C. (relegated)
  3. Wellington Phoenix
  4. Los Halcones Locos FC (promoted)
  5. Hillary Wanderers (promoted)

Division Four

  1. Surge Thunder FC (relegated)
  2. Rahui warriors fc (relegated)
  3. AD Fafe
  4. The Dirty Burgers
  5. Onehunga Town AFC (returning to the league after a suspension for financial irregularities)

For those of you in divisions two and three, invites are waiting for you. Go to the friendly league page and click the accept button. I've PM'ed the details of division one to Tegal, so your invites will appear when he has a few minutes to spare. And as for you wastrels in division four... we need somebody with pro days to set up the league (it doesn't cost you any to do, you just need to have them). As far as I can tell, the only team with pro is Onehunga Town -- so I've PM'ed the details to Crockett in Trophy Manager. When he sorts it out, you'll get your invites.

OK, so maybe Crockett doesn't read his messages. First division four team to PM Earthquake City in Trophy Manager gets the job (and a couple of pro days to be able to do it).

Tegal -- can you tweet Tawa AFC and Los Halcones Locos and tell them to accept their invites? Only teams we are waiting on in divs two and three.
