Down to just Tawa AFC now.

Crap. Hit the start league button once I saw everyone accepted. Our league will be a day or two outta sync I guess?

Div four gets underway tomorrow night (Crockett has an itchy trigger finger :P). I'm gonna start div three and hopefully Tegal sees this tonight and starts the premiership too.

Will give Tawa AFC a couple more days to accept the invite. If that happens, then div two will lag behind by a week. If not, it'll switch to a four team league starting next week; with six games compared to eight in the other divs we'll get an extra week off at the end too.

#shambles - why can't people accept invites after agreeing to enter...

12 May 08:21

Tawa AFC just accepted. So we can start them all tonight with first games tomorrow yeah?

The only previous game between us and the Trains was in season 27, and I'm pretty sure it was in the first edition of the Yellow Fever league. We were leading 1-0 at halftime, they got back to 1-1 after 62 minutes. Chris Wood took it to 3-1 with goals in the 65th and 77th minutes before the trains came back to 3-3 in the 84th and 87th. Chris Wood had other ideas and completed his hattrick with the last play of the game to seal an epic 4-3 win and keep bwtcf swearing long into the night. Hope tonights game is as good.

Also, I vote we name the Wellington Phoenix - Naenae soccer club matches the Incest Derby.

If it makes you feel better that was our only win in the first edition.
In fact, that probably won't make you feel better. Oh well.

13 May 07:47

Well the first half of the Revenge Mission against the shaky boys was a disaster., 1 - 0 down after 14', and then our DC Sarabia got a yellow card in the 30th minute, and another one in the 33rd...

Grrrrr.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

13 May 08:42

2 - 0 now, both scorers being youth team graduates is even nicer.

5 - 1 up against (un)Elite F.C in Lukla, a youth team graduate notching two goals there too.

13 May 10:05

Ooooo...... stole it in the last minute.  A 93' minute goal for Onehunga to take the 2-1 win over Rahui!

My best striker went off injured though :/

Will go through and do the full stats in the next day or two, but a quick look at the scores gives 36 goals in the 8 games -- 4.5 goals per game average. No draws either, so this could be an exciting league (except for the keepers) if this keeps up.

The standout performance was Surge Thunder FC who beat AD Fafe for the first time and didn't hold back, taking it 9 - 0. Fafe did pick up two red cards, but were already six down when they got the first card so they weren't in it anyway.

Also pleased to have derailed the trains at The Brownlee Memorial Pieshop to keep our 100% record against them.

Naenae wins the incest derby 5-1.

* The loss of friendly league data with the season update at the end of the last YF league seems to have affected the head-to-head numbers since both these teams played each other last edition. I'm pretty sure it was one each in the Locos - HW matchup (TM only shows one win to HW). For Surge vs Rahui, I don't know who won the other one.

19 May 04:15

Have we logged a bug re the loss of the freindly league data? Should we?

19 May 04:23

Yeah I did when we first noticed it at the end of the last league: http://trophymanager.com/forum/int/bugs/279455

Have just added a note about the head-to-head results as well. No response from the TM staff yet.

Throwing a few reserves into the mix against Earthquake City, lets see how I fare. Hiding my hand for the big league fixtures ;-)

20 May 07:27 · edited 20 May 07:48 · History

1-1 nix vs trains at 27 and this after the trains scored in the first 3 mins

remains 1-1 at the half....nix behind on shots 5 - 10, trailing shots on target 3 - 5,

Working well so far. Whips 2 - 1 up at the half but we have injured two of their players so if we keep that up we'll have a numbers advantage by the end...
