Interesting that we will be able to renew our passes without knowing how many games we are paying for or when the games will be at home.

In the Football United thread, Thunderstix says 11 home games in Wellington [vs 10 this year] plus games in Christchurch, Auckland and 1 other location to be advised.

Hmmm.so a lot of away games in Oz during Cricket World Cup then a lot of home games to make up?

Ideal scenario would probably be 2 away / ChCh / 2 away  / Auckland / 2 away. That would cover the 8 weeks we have to be out of Wellington.

Other option I guess would be us playing some home games during the Asian Cup in January and having some bye weeks during the CWC.

thunderstiz is presumably Brenda who has been absolutely fantastic every year when I've renewed thru the phone line, knows her stuff, very efficient and a nice person to talk to.

but the fact that Nix Marketing and Ticketek can't get prices right between them nor include the number of home games and home away games on the booking info (do the Nix not check Ticketek's final website stuff at all? do they not think to include this stuff?) is just woeful.  Kinda homely and comforting.  If we ever get a membership renewal process that works smoothly I'll wonder what's gone wrong.  #alternateuniverse

The Foundation Member prices on the renewal website are/were wrong and are being fixed. They incorrectly charged Foundation Members for their free upgrade to a Premium Membership. Anyone who paid the wrong price will get a refund.

My card has not been charged 2k yet and I believe as in previous years no charge will be put to a card until the ticket/membership is confirmed.

Foundation membership renewed this morning! :-) Tickets for Double header and Nix V WHU in Jafaland also booked!

I used the 384-3842 number and was lucky enough to get through to Brenda again this year! No reply at all on the 384-2457 number. She took all card details etc. and said the pricing to include club membership was being fixed today. She expects we will be charged for the lot next week sometime.

Hmmm I might try again.  Phoned again this morning, after receiving no call back yesterday as promised, and was told the systems were still down and they couldn't process my order.  Gggrrr.

Does anyone know how Foundation members go about getting their free ticket to the Football United Tour? Or will all become apparent once I've renewed my membership? (I'm waiting until they sort out the $199/$169 pricing issue)

"Our exclusive purchase period for Football United tour tickets is linked into your renewal of your 2014/15 Membership. Foundation Memberships receive 1 ticket free per membership to the Wellington Game. If you would like it to the Auckland game, please contact us on 04 384 2457. Please note: You must purchase a membership to buy tickets. Any orders without a membership will be cancelled."

I've renewed our Foundation memberships, gone back in to book Football United tickets, but still not sure how I book our free ones?

I can now answer my own question, after phoning Ticketek. I *think* I've got this straight, please correct me if I'm wrong!

Foundation members are automatically allocated our own seats for the Football United games.

If we buy extra tickets for others, the default option is that the group (including us) will be seated together wherever there is room.

If we want to keep our own seats, and buy extra tickets for others, then we need to phone up and tell them we want to keep our own seats. The extras will then be seated wherever there is room.

Now I phoned up and tried to buy 2 extra Football United tickets but keep my usual seat, and the woman said that's not possible! I told her the guy told me it WAS possible, so she is going to check and call me back.

You're right, it is possible. It's exactly what I've done.

If in doubt, ask to talk to Brenda.

Third time lucky! I phoned 384 3842 and eventually got through. This guy said I could keep my own seat as long as the extra tickets were for a different category. i.e. my ticket is Yellow Fever zone, I had to buy the extra tickets in Silver (or could have been Bronze or Gold)

So, not straightforward, but got there in the end.

Season ticket holders get first dibs on their own seats for Football United.

Any extra seats you buy for Football United can't be allocated yet because they might be another season ticket holder's seat.

So if you want to sit with the people you are buying extra seats for you are basically giving up rights to your own seat and have to wait until they do the big seat allocation in a few weeks. That's what I've done (I wanted cheaper seats than my own seat would have been anyway). All we know at the moment is that we will get the "best available" seats in the Bronze Zone.

Quite looking forward to see what is in our goodie bags.

Hoping there is a decent "Self-entitlement" voucher which I can re-deem at any game, bus, movie, power company, coffee shop or selected bar.

Phoenix Membership pack: Bumper sticker, Fridge magnet.

No mention of the $10 car parking in the membership benefits this season.

I'd like to see the free bus continue.  We didn't use it last season - ended up using the $10 parking most times (and parked by BB other times).  The match times didn't really suit catching buses after the game (and having school the next day).

Hopefully this next season the draw is better for using the bus.

Nice.

Season ticket pretty much on par with premium club (cue angst...).

I wonder if the club can ask Westpac to keep the filth from the 7s on our seats again?  Highlight of the season (other than the last game).

Hmm apparently I can renew my season membership today but not get FUNZT tickets anymore as there was a cutoff day yesterday.

Not happy if that's the case and I have to be on a wait list...

So I've renewed by foundation membership season ticket, dropped the club membership - as a Foundation member I'm being comped that.

I assume I am automatically sent my complementary FU Wellington ticket?, as there was no option to claim it.

Does anyone ever get through on the 3842457 membership hotline? Perhaps I just have unlucky timing, but I have yet to get anything but a line busy tone when I try. I feel like I've spent the entire week phoning and listening to beeps.

Edit: I can't get anything but a busy tone from any Ticketek or Phoenix number. Even tried phoning the club's "contact us" number. It's like the whole of the Phoenix and Ticketek have actually gone AWOL this week. Probably talking to each other....

Did you pay your phone bill?

Allegedly

Permalink Permalink

Turns out the phone line isn't doing some clever cross-checking of my Telecom paid bill status - the Ticketing phone lines are down and Telecom are currently trying to fix it. Not sure if that's been the case earlier this week, but certainly the case today.

Anyway, managed to get an email through and they called me and sorted out my problem (my renewal charging error will be refunded).
