Sad to say the Phoenix, through no fault of their own, are peeing in the wind when it comes to increasing support beyond the committed. Two of my friends with soccer mad kids who live in Raumati didn't go to the game on Sunday. They couldn't even give any reason, never mind a good reason for not going. Sadly, increasing support is based on the tried and true Kiwi Way, winning games and titles

from my memories of kids and football, parents are absolutely pleased to have a few weekends off sport between seasons

not turning up for a Nix preseason may be more about busy and tiring parenthood than anything else

But in-season games to watch a winning team may well still be a priority for some/many

Me - still hopeful that crowds will build significantly if we play well and win.  We've plumbed the depths the last couple of years, even I started to think about missing games and not renewing a foundation membership.

though I could be totally wrong and we get worse #antijinxs

What? If that was the criteria... "NEED"... I would have had it 2 months ago! How many baths have I had to have without my season pass to rub all over my body.

I think you actually mean: 21 days until ticketek "sends it". 25 days until you suspect that it's not coming. 27 days until ticketek realises they sent it to the wrong address (after you received someone else's season ticket in the mail). 28 days until they tell you that they will resend new tickets. 31 days until half of your tickets arrive but seated on the wrong side of the stadium. 32 days until they send you paper tickets to the first game via email because they are waiting for the next batch of tickets to be printed. 42 days until your correct season tickets arrive - exactly one week after game 1.

That's a very weird graphic. From looking at that (without the numbers) you'd think that we had sold the same amount as the Jets...

You think they would put a total  at the bottom as well.

i think this might have seriously fucked up my life

a bit like this guy

"PUEBLO, CO—Admitting to feeling mixed emotions over the fact that his weekends will soon revolve around watching football, local 34-year-old Adam Gebhard told reporters Thursday that he is both incredibly excited for and somewhat dreading the coming NFL season taking up his entire Sunday for the next four months. “I’ve been really excited for the NFL to finally start up again, but to be honest, I kind of liked having my Sundays free to do whatever I want,” said Gebhard, acknowledging that while he was thrilled to have the regular season and playoffs to look forward to, he’ll just have to forget about going out for Sunday brunch or spending a relaxing afternoon at the park with friends when there are kickoffs at 11 a.m., 2:25 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. every week until February. “I’ll basically roll out of bed in the morning, turn on the TV, and watch nothing but football for the next 12 hours straight. And when Sunday Night Football is over, there are highlights and analysis of every game on ESPN to catch before going to bed. It’ll be awesome, but at the same time, part of me can’t wait for the season to just be over.” Gebhard added that he was experiencing similarly conflicting feelings about soon spending most of his week updating his fantasy football team roster and lineup.

Foundation arrived other one didn't, so if you're not a foundation member I wouldn't be worried its probably in the next batch.

Am potentially going to become a first time season ticket holder this season. Due to another Sunday evening commitment we've been unable to make the 5pm Sunday games so with the majority of home games being that time for the last couple of seasons we've just been getting tickets when we could go. But looks like Sunday night is becoming free this season so will buy 2 season tickets if so.

Without understanding it much and not wanting to read the whole thread, can anyone summarise what the membership gives you that the season ticket doesn't? Sounds a little odd that a season ticket holder won't be a "member."

Basically you get a Members Cap & access to a Facebook page. It is just a way for those who can afford more to give more money towards the club. Premium Club = Season Ticket + Club Membership.

I would think the usual:

  • lanyard and card holder
  • scarf
  • bumper sticker and fridge magnet
  • discount voucher
  • personalised welcome letter
  • complementary sense of entitlement

I've already received my complementary sense of entitlement. When do I get the rest?
