See how Krishna goes until the January transfer window and then if he doesn't perform pay him out and pick up a fully fit Iffil.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

A soap box TV service? Sounds like something to beat the chest about.

So we have space in the cap/squad for a striker then....

Any ideas? Tarde? Clapham? Musa? Eadgar? Pav?

Or lia has a good scoring record, how about we convert him?

How can you have Tade there when he is an import? Must be Kiwi or Aussie.

Pav's getting over paid flipping burgers somewhere.

Wasn't Watson the one that lost a tonne of weight and in turn boosted his performances?

Has Watson got enough pace though?

Cool so the ffa are now letting us add 3 youth team contracts to our playing squad. Who will pick them up? Young striker, young striker, joel stevens?

Young GK in that mix. I think we need a 3rd and in a squad of 26, you can carry a 3rd.

Don't think we will contract a young keeper. O'Keeffe will be with Tee Dubs and Spoonley will still be floating around the ASB Premiership. Either of them could be called up at short notice. Even Tamati Williams would be an option.

Yep was in the middle of an unrelated article on the front page - can't remember which one.

Isn't there a rule that only 4 players from our squad and are able to play for our reserve team? If that is the rule then does it really make sense to contract players to the first team? Would it not be better to contract them to the reserves so that they can play every week and then we can still call them up at short notice?

Permalink Permalink

I thought the rule was we could only have 4 professionals in the team and only x players who are in the senior age group.

Bit unfair when ACFC can have a full pro squad but it is what it is.

Would we be able to move rufer and ridenton on to youth/reserve contracts to open up two squad spots? Because surely that would open up our cap a bit and we could sign a striker.

Pretty sure Ernie said this is the squad. Besides, most leagues around the world have already started and their transfer market has closed. So unless we picked up an A-League player (without having to pay a fee) I doubt we'll be able to get anyone.
