Well, it could be that we got all our inevitable injuries out of the way early in the season, other teams are only now catching up with us on that score.
The same run as the top 4.
Beating Brisbane (5) and CCM (12), drawing with Adelaide (8)
That four-match streak bettered only by Newcastle and Victory (who both lost to Macarthur).
Sydney away (2), Jets away (4), City home (6), Victory home (7) to come in the next four. Ouch.
We're going to have to be better for 90.
<fingers crossed>

And now we are behind Brisbane whom we have beaten, but ahead of Victory who thrashed us. Go figure.

Jets are in good form though winning all three of their last games. Can't help being nervous going against a high ranked team but I'm willing to believe in the boys. COYN

As such, the A-Leagues Download crew consisting of Jake Barker-Daish, Thomas Sorensen and Naum Sekulovski assessed every side in this year’s competition ahead of what’s set to be another brilliant round of Isuzu UTE A-League action.
Wellington Phoenix (8th)
“They’ve turned a corner,” Thomas said.
“They’ve got things at least moving in the right direction.”

We're smack bang in the middle - 6 from the bottom, 6 from the top. Take the game against Melbourne Victory out and it actually doesn't look too bad

Yeah they are the most in form team with only three wins in a row.
No one else has even won two in a row at the moment.
Very very even league this year. No easy games. Hard to predict either the premiers or the top six even halfway through.
Three for me, and two for them.

Which is kinda brilliant. Sure there are favourites, but anythin can happen Which makes things exciting.
Though admittedly I'd rather it was boring and we were 20 points clear at the top.

Time for redemption for the last season, a few wins in a row and we are top six. Team is full stacked, no excuses.

We had a bad timing of coming up against the Jets and the Victory when they were both on the up and up, with both Rose and Mata clearly doing their best to date.
And no, even I did not expect to praise Liam Rose and Juan Mata in the same sentence. What a weird season.

You all know that old saying. Is the glass half full or half empty depending on how you look at it??
2 losses and we could theoretically be bottom of the table. OR 2 wins and we could be theoretically be top of the table. A bit of a quirky scenario.

We have picked up 3 more points than AFC in the past 5 games. What a slump for them

When you look at the table all the doom merchants posts really do look a little stupid we are 2 points from 6th and 6 points from 2nd.
Yes agree we havnt looked good at times but its certainly not as bad as some make out time and time again.

No matter how you spin it, bottom 3 after more than half the season is just plain bad. Being X points from Y means nothing until you actually close that gap

It has been like that for weeks. We are only X points from Y, but we aren't closing the gap. We have been so inconsistent, there is little good reason to believe that we are all of a sudden going to be consistent and start moving up the ladder.
Do we really think we are going to beat Victory next weekend, after they just smashed Sydney 4-0? Do we really think we can beat AFC two weeks after that? Maybe we can get a win away to WSW in between to keep ourselves in touch with the 6 but hard to hope for more

Just starting to watch the AFC game now. I know the result but I want to savour the moment. Small things amuse small minds ;)

AFC have to play Sydney twice plus Macarthur before playing at Sky/Westpac/Henry wotever. By then they could be feeling very fragile indeed. Even more so should Nix get half decent results v Victory & WSW. Plenty to hope for, Plenty to play for.

we need to string a win or two together, for weeks it's been 1 win and we are 3rd/4th now its a win for 5th, but if the teams ahead of us win then we al just add points and dont move up or down. WSW and CCM are failing off the back of the pack, but they are only 2 wins from putting us at the bottom.
like always there is no point in worrying about it, as we know 1 loss and you can drop two places.

No matter how badly AFC are doing before they play us, no matter how good we are playing, if I was a betting man I'd still back AFC to win. Nix cannot win big games.
They have lost every playoff tie they have been in for well over 10 years, lost to the Mariners with 3 rounds to go to throw away the 23/24 Premiership, have lost 5/5 derby games. I am already resigned to the Nix losing derby #6 and can only be pleasantly surprised.

First paragraph presumptive negative.
Second paragraph accurate but unnecessary reminder for a fan forum.
The hopefully positive finishing flourish is out of character but an improvement.

Lol I'll take it.
Going to retract my pessimism about the coming Victory game. Their recent 5-1 against us and the 4-0 against Sydney distracted me from the fact they haven't won outside Melbourne since October.
