Jets beat Victory 5 goals to 2.

May as well post this before the inevitable climb up the ladder by you know who

Even a 1-0 would do it as Goals For would be in our favour despite an equal Goal Difference

I find it a little weird how NZF actually list Bye Week on the men’s National League Champs table at 0 points. Shouldn’t Bye pick up a point per round since technically it always earns a nil-all draw?

No, a bye is not a 0 - 0 draw. A bye is no game, therefore no points.

I think the joke is that Bye is listed on the NZF table as if it were a team

Nah, Doloras.  That other side has only scored one goal. We've got four.

It's all about us. We're the buzz.

No teams have won or lost both their first two games (presuming Adelaide don't find two very late goals here). Cool that things are so equal, with two of the three winless sides being two of the wealthier teams. Probably more of a case of the haves regressing towards the have nots but should make for an entertaining season regardless

After last nights result of Macarther beating Adelaide, we finish Round 2 in 2nd place

All teams playing at home won.

Aucks the only team to not concede a goal.  Hopefully Adelaide can fix that on Saturday.

Auckland may have a sputtering attack force at the moment, but their defence - even with Pinjaker still out and Smith gone back to UK - seems to be holding up as good as before.  Paulsen, Sakai and DeVries are doing their job.
(Edit: Woud, not Paulsen - thanks Yakcall).

I don't think Paulsen is doing his job for Auckland, seeing as he is in Poland. Think you mean Woud

Of course, apology.
Either an early onset dementia clearly setting in, or the long offseason not helping :-)

That 2-2 loss for Perth must have stung bad.

Three for me, and two for them.

Brisbane 0 Melb City 0
Perth 0 Melb Victory 2 - first home loss of the season goes to Perth. By contrast the Perth Women are at the top of the Women's league table.

Nix will go to the very top of the tree if we win tomorrow, no matter the scoreline. Will make the Kiwi Derby a 1v2 clash as well

A win would be useful, wouldn't it. And if Sydney could be held by Macarthur.

I guess it depends if he was offered more $ at WSW. But if he can’t score while WSW being shark like he did last season he may regret it, if missing out on the WC

Al-Taay at WSW too (or Kraev depending which you were counting).

They probably look at their bank accounts and dont really care. Plus I'm not sure we sign Eze if Kosta stays and I'm happy with that trade.

With all the recent chat about the locker room being better this season and Kostas obvious (and justifiable) on-pitch frustration last year, I cant help but wonder...

I would cut Al-Taay a lot of slack.  He came to us from WSW and he returned there again.  And despite some suspicious comments here, we can't really question it when he said it was for family reasons. Western Sydney is where he is from and where his family is, unlike Rudan's relocation from Sydney to Melbourne via Wellington.
