It's an investment like backing number 10 in Race 10 at Cambridge Harness is an investment.

pretty sure there will be interest, but will they be willing pour money into the blackhole that is football club over a long period of time. Might be better to have more than one investor in the club.
Anyway how's court going?

Just going by the headline, I think this is the second round so it is probably just a preview on this. I doubt it is talking about another delay.

More like #11 in a 10 Horse race.... at least # 10 has a chance of paying a dividend!!!

Anything happening yet?

With Boca and McKain the Phoenix were projected to break even or make a small profit this year.

That's always been the problem. Sensible businesspeople don't invest in A-League teams. Footie tragics, or delusional egomaniacs, or those who are both at once do so.

Translation: Terry SWEARS that he'll have the $$$ by Thursday morning, he's just got to get past the receptionist at that pizza parlour in Dubai. :) Seriously, good luck to him.

Did that happen though?

Melbourne Victory and Mariners have made profits before, I can't see how football sides can't eventually break even in the next 5-10 years.

The way that was going I didn't think the Judge was even going to give that long. Surely he can get some of the other properties sorted out before Thursday. Even less optimistic than I was this morning though.

A good result for the Phoenix is a new owner who hasn't been scammed publicly out of $1.5m, i'm afraid. This will hang over Terry's ability to do credible business for some time.

here is my non-lawyer summary.
Terry wanted 6 week stay to some up with the cash from WGA. I think there was a mention of a plan b if that money didn't come.  IRD argued against it.

Judge has given him until Tursday.

Smithy should be on here soon to clarify.

Terry wanted 6 weeks, Judge gave him 3 days. Nice.

I wonder if anyone who's got good Spanish can read the local media to find out what Racing Santander fans think about all this.

IMO six weeks would not have been good for the club. That's another month and a half of being in limbo. I really hope Terry can come out of this but I just don't see it unless he has more assets than we realise. WGA is almost certainly a scam. I feel very, very sad for Terry. Fingers crossed there is someone else with the means and the will to take over. It all makes Rojas leaving seem rather unimportant.

Yeah Judge wasn;t impressed that the companies were still trading and potentially increasing the debt.

That's an interesting quote. Why is that even being reported as an option?

Is it possible that Terry is just playing an extreme form of hardball here? Maybe he has had a Plan B all along but he refuses to action it while he waits to see if his preferred option (a dirt cheap loan from alleged fraudster) comes about.

I am now 100% confident that terry has this under control and will produce the goods at the very last second

I am also 100% confident that Marco Rojas is staying

In light of Term's postive out look i would also like to add that we have re-signed Smeltzy for three years and have a Spanish defensive midfielder coming allowing Manny to return to being the leagues best ever right back.

As I've always said, if WGA really is the scam that a growing throng say it is, then Terry has gone nuckin' futs, one step down from going full Howard Hughes and storing jars of urine, and should be overthrown by his shareholders before he does anything else stupid. However, it COULD be possible that there is method in his madness, or at least a little more mad in the methedrome.

Don't we already have a top-class right back lined up?

Ali Syed assured Terry that his cousin was #1 best right back in the whole Hyderabad Second Division!

This would indicate the Judge knows Terry has assets not mortgaged to the hilt.
