That's a good idea about the refund, they might be nice and do that for us.

There is a few ways to make sure we don't get into the situation of no family. RMH has a few families and outcare patients that could possibly taken chosen families place, I have been in good contact with them. Also been contacted through Twitter about another possible way for getting a deserving family last minute that I'm looking into as well.

Hope for the best, plan for the worst and settle for anything in between.

I am amazed at the generosity, and look forward to helping anyway I can.

Plan B could just be hanging about on the concourse near the ticket booth and offering a family a free day at the footy?

We have confirmation of our first family for our VIP experience to watch the Nix this Sunday. The Bradley Family are really looking forward to there day out. I'll be meeting them at 4.30pm on the concourse to give them tickets etc and get them in.

Any chance we could get the ground announcer to welcome the family over the tannoy at the match?

I'm pretty sure that even Nick Tansley could pronounce "Bradley"!

Just thinking back to the gimicky name for this and I am sure there is a tie in with Yellow Fever (as in the disease) and trying to help sick kids.

Yellow Fever cures kids day? Thats bit stupid but there is something in there

Need to be careful as think this falls into the same category as taking publicity photos.

This is my worst fair to be honest. I don't think we will have a problem getting a family each week as RMH have been good but we are dealing with sick kids and there could be a chance they take a turn and not able to attend on the day.

If people have backup ideas that would be good, but otherwise I'm not sure what else I can do about something in that situation.

I mean; getting more numbers to the game is great and all - but i'd say the main purpose of this is to liven up a kids day who's going through some tough shit. If they can't come, they can't come, but at least the effort was put in.

Thankfully this has sorted itself out as I asked through RMH if they mind if we take photos and they are happy with it. We are also seeing if we can do some video recording as well for the day.

So yes, if we can get a welcome at the stadium I think this family would actually like that.

all of that would be on a week by week basis depending on whether the family is comfortable with it I guess.

Yeah that's the idea. The video would only be this week if we can do it to record the first one!

Should sadly a family have to pull out due to their child taking a turn for the worst, hoping we could still give that child a scarf/t shirt to in some part make up for missing out.

Great idea Ballane, I will make sure I get a scarf to them if it unfortuante happens

Hopefully Paullt we will have enough anyway for it as we have the budget already and still have the raffle and auction to come in as well as the sale of Carlsbergs at Bethel Woods this Sunday

How awesome would it be if we could somehow organize a chant for the guests?  EG the ground announcer could welcome them and then the fever belt out a welcome chant.

Hi everyone, the charity auction for the six month membership to Exodus Gym is live. Can you please put it out on twitter, facebook, email what ever you can so the most amount of people see it. The more we can get looking at it the hopefully better we can sell it for.

Not sure how they pick those, have contacted the person I've been in touch with from Trade Me this morning to let her know that the auction is up as they are waiving the fees for it. Hopefully they might just decided to promote it as well.

Hmm, I had a talk with Boycie, and we have decided it might be a better idea if you meet the family at the BB, that way we can shout them brunch, and no one has to wait in the rain on the concourse if its nasty. Also has the benefit of putting decent food in their belly, and they don't have to rely on stadium food.

If they are keen, we will shout the brunch up to the value of $100, and will do this for other RMH familys for this season.

The BB actually has a lot of history with fundraising for RMH, so we are really keen to help out.

OK, didn't see any mention of it so i thought it would be a safe offer. We don't want to step on anyones toes.

Also surprised that we weren't approached from the start.

Sh!t sorry UberGunner, that is a great offer, but yes Bethel Woods did contact me and offerlunch for the family which the family this week hasn't taken up. Not sure what I'll do with the weather if it is poor on Sunday.

Sorry also that I haven't contacted you for sponsorship I've actually been very lucky and had people contact me directly to offer help, the only people I've reached out to myself has been the Nix about the tickets, which they then offered the lounge passes and Trade Me for the Auction. Westpac, Exodus and Bethel contacted me.

Uber/Boycie - I don't think it was a conscious decision not to approach the BackBencher. It's grown organically. Most of the parties involved have stepped forward on their own rather than having been approached (although YakCall did approach RMH in the first place). You can definitely still be involved. I am sure we can find a way. This is all about the fans doing something organically and the BB has always been right at the heart of supporting the Fever.

In other good news...

I get my morning coffee from Greenland cafe on Kate Sheppard place - opposite side of the road from BackBencher and The Thistle - half way in between the two in Environment house.

I was just getting my coffee... checked the Dom Post, commented to the proprietor that I was amazed - they had actually run an A League story, but then said "Oh, wait, it's okay, it fails to mention the Phoenix, it's all about the Melbourne Derby."

I explained that I had been enquiring what it would take to get the Doom Post to write a positive article about the Phoenix. I explained about #FeverDreams and that we are up to $1910, and that the Doom Post had been spoon fed the article but still showed no interest. The proprietor commented how shit that was, and then asked "Can I contribute? We have a tips jar and we donate it to various charities..."

They have a blackboard on the wall of all the charities they have given to.

He said he expected there was $200-$300 in the jar. I am going back down later this morning after the early morning rush and he will have it ready for me.

It's growing.

Honestly I don't know what we can do to get Dom Post to write about it, they are just ignoring it but its not going to stop it from family as it is about the families.

That is also awesome news about the tip jar, well done!
