According to training:
                                        Crowther
Muscat           Durante                     Sigmund         Lochhead
                       Brown                       Lia
Bertos                                                          Daniel
                             Ifill
                                    Greenacre

No idea about the bench.
Paston looked very bad, could hardly walk. 99% sure he won't play.

This team is pretty much picking itself at the moment, as is the bench:

Costa
Party Disco Troy
Caceres
Gould

Bob Malcolm.  Ha !  MiniMass and Zullo, yikes.

Talk in Clogs circles is that Reddy is off to Sydney to replace Bolton and as such won't play again for the Clogs.

Interesting, I thought Bolton was decent. How old is he ?

Bolton is easily the best keeper in the league

Easily ? Vukovic has to be up there. I'd say as the best.

Yea i totally disagree with bolton being the best. If you go on current form i would pick Vukovic, but i think Moss is up there when on song and Galekovic was pretty good last year. So no Bolton is not the best in the league

Are you high?

CCM have lowest Against total, and Vukovic has the best defensive stats of all keepers this season.

Bolton had some nice efforts with saving a penalty or two, but Vukovic is easily in the form of a lifetime at the moment.

From what I've seen this season, here's how I'd rank the 'keepers who have played most regularly for each team...

1. Vukovic (CCM)
2. Bolton (SFC)
3. Galekovic (AU)
4. Moss (MV)
5. Paston (WP)
6. Reddy (BR)
7. Henderson (NQF)
8. Higgins (GCU)
9. Velaphi (PG)
10. Kennedy (NJ), although he did play well in the 0-3 loss to the Phoenix...otherwise terrible.

Pretty good, but Paston has improved heaps in the last 2 months, so he is ahead of Moss.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

IMO Paston should be a t least be a place higher by virtue of his consistency. All four of Vukovic, Bolton, Galekovic and Moss have committed embarrassing blunders that have cost goals and games (eg, Vukovic's feeble effort to stop a free kick in round 6 gave Adelaide the 3 points). I think people have been expecting Paston to stuff up all season but I can't think of a single goal where the fault could be laid at his door.

Also although Velaphi has been involved in a few goalkeeping disasters so too have Henderson and Higgins, and Velaphi is definitely a better shot stopper than those two, and probably Reddy as well.

Paston has definately stepped up this season. Think he was a little shaky the first couple of games (the whole team was though) but since then has been getting better and better every game

I'm happy Henrique's not playing, even though I really enjoy watching him. He and Miller always seem to work some nice, clever combinations together, whereas Miller and van Dijk/Reinaldo have never properly clicked. Malcolm being back in the team would be good for us too: without doubt one of the worst defenders in the league despite his reputation.

Henrique is their best player imo and we usually struggle a little against fast players. Good news for us.

I'm just worried about our condition - read that Manny lost 3.2 kilos and most of the other guys probably lost a similar amount of weight which isn't a good thing. It's going to be hot again up in Brisbane - maybe not 40 degrees, but way more humid and probably still over 30.

Hmmm ill rephrase that. Bolton is the best keeper in the air. Vukovic is probably a better shot stopper.

Pretty good list though Moss would definatly be behind Paston and maybe equal with Reddy. Galekovic hasn't had the best season so perhaps behind Paston aswell. In-form Galekovic though is easily the best keeper in the League. Velaphi woud be ahead of Henderson and Higgins too.wellyphoenixfan2009-11-28 14:47:12

Paston is the best organiser, Galekovic from last season would be on par with him though...

Big game tonight for the Phoenix.

Never beaten the Roar, what better time for us to do it.

Them and Adelaide I want to knock off at least once this season..as well as NQF.

Must not concede early...settle into the game, and the opportunities will come. Later kick-off up in Brisbane as opposed to Newcastle will allow the players to play.

Brisbane within touching distance of us on the points table, so very important for us not to have a letdown. We are away from the SFS, so maybe it won't?!
