Crowther was useless for the most part.

That was a terrible terrible wall - God it looked easy to score from behind the goal, and it didnt even creep just inside the post!

need to sign another wide back with some pace

+ hearfield needs more than just pace as a defensive player.  I don't think you can really ask him to be an accomplished wide back and make all the right judgements at this level

aka, in reply to your last comment Vader - Ricki hasn't got too many options at the moment

i suppose manny has managed Ok v most sides this season, it's not like all sides have a tommy oar to really make him look silly (tho' others will be trying it on again now)

we needed a confident, composed, organising goalie with one player down, bit much to ask from Reece

he was average and their 2nd goal came from his f**king about in the corner.

he lost the ball about 98 meters from our goal for f**ks sake.  Perhaps he should have cleared the ball for a throw instead of trying to make space for the cross.

Ricki is going to appeal does it still mean he gets a 1 match ban or can that be over turned?

Probably appealing in the hope he dosnt get more than one match for throwing an elbow.

Daniel played a big part in their second goal - lost the ball easily, had the chance to stop the guy but didn't.

Didn't see a replay of that, but I thought Daniel was fouled there.

Interesting they never showed a replay that far back but it looked pretty obvious at the time that he was pushed over by DeVere who then made the run.

The win does not take away from the fact that Charlie Miller is fat.

Wouldnt mind if we had a fat one like him who can serve it up for the strikers like he can.

Who knows with Daniel he tends to fall over pretty easy. What bugged me is that he had the chance to stop DeVere and didn't. Contrast that to when Ifill made the break in the second half and got hauled down.

hahaha, as soon as he lost it/got bundled off it I knew the hate was coming.  Quite comical really "player in oppositions corner concedes goal (never mind the 10 others behind it!)

Crap, that was an awful game.  Crowther was absolutely awful.

A bit skeptical on the red card.  Was the elbow in the face?  From the replay angles the players body appeared to be in the way and I wasn't sure if it was in the face or chest?  Face definite red card though.

Right, I'm off for a few hours sleep before up for three consecutive games. Enough of this angst. Can't wait to trawl through it tomorrow morning.

Daniel was definitely fouled, not to mention no one made any effort to take a mercy pass from him. Then just before Miller made the obvious long pass to Reinaldo Lochhead for some inexplicable made no effort to mark Reinaldo - in fact I swear he actually ran away from him and into no mans land.

Ah well, if Vignaroli hadn't tripped over his own feet in the 93 minute last week we'd be lamenting one point out of 6. We never looked likely tonight.

Wont make a difference. They'll only over turn it if wrong on point of law. It'll get written up as Violent Conduct as Scottishboy said. It was violent and the ball was certainly not involved.

I wouldn't waste the appeal money.

Unless there is another angle not shown, I'll be hugely surprised if he doesn't get an extra week or two off.

When you look at the sh*t they are doing like nailing throws up the line, and nailing diving, I think he'll be lucky not to be staring at 2-3. Previously clean record??

Can anyone tell me if it was definitely an elbow to the face?  The angle was poor.

Well I'll maintain that the other guy hit him.  The bastard.  But seriously, I'm yet to be convinced that the elbow was in the face (the forearm was certainly higher obviously), in which case I'd give him a yellow but nothing more.

spose im not the first to say this but once again, as with the sydney game, muscat was out paced and out played untill he saw red. cant afford to have a guy getting beaten and having crosses coming in all day.

that oar kid was bloody good though

Hangover from last week? I'm sure there's no excuses from the team but their conditioning after last week must have had an effect.
Manny losing 3.2kg was one and you don't recover fully from that in a week.

Nah, that was a clear foul on Daniel, he had every right to expect the call. You could easily see Packer's arms extended and pushing Daniel's back, that call should be given every single time. We both just shook our heads in disbelief in not getting the foul, even before the whole move resulted in a goal. That section of play is what lost us the game effectively - we gave up the goal, lost the composure for about 10, during which we also lost Manny. The hole was a bit too big at that stage, although the free kick sealed it definitely for them.
