Wow! This signing really came as a surprise! Who knew we were targeting Greenacre after all!
It is good to have it confirmed though!

Excellent signing - proven goal scorer at a very good level, great work ethic and a team player = fan's favourite.

Sign the 2nd striker (target man) and we're cooking.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

...he has a reputation for being mobile and doing a lot off the ball as well. High workrate.
If Ronnie Moore rates him then that's a GOOD RECOMMENDATION.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

looking at their message board, some are not that upset as he is injury prone. Although they are sad that he has had so many injuries as they rate him.

Hoping you stay free of injuries Chris!!

bloody happy ae, should be good. just what the nix needs. great replacement for smeltz, seems like a similar sort of player. now someone who can hold up the ball. krishna doesnt come under that catagory does he?

Good stuff....albeit he is 30 plus and injury prone.  At one goal in three games that should give us at least 9 aka Smeltz so we still need another striker and a spare..for injuries  Perhaps another attacking midfielder would do the trick.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Great news.....its a good signing IMO. Scored over a hundred goals at not a bad level.

He sounds like a good pro. Admits he's more of a poacher/goal scrambler type striker but thats OK. What it does mean is the phoenix attacking midfield will have to step up and make sure they create lots of good chances for Chris to finish off.
Interesting Ricki is on the lookout for a target man....if we find our man then things are looking great for this season.

yays! i've been out of the loop - so we've got him and Diego, any others?

who's leaving apart from Smeltz? Dodd? yeah i know I should just go through the transfer speculation volumes I-IX  but nah.
I like tautologies because I like them.

Good signing. Maybe a little old. but hey if he can play then good. Doesn't seem like a cocky asshole either, Hopfully the nix can get some good press in the paper or the news now.

All Aboard the Phoenix/ All Whites Bandwagon!!

I wouldn't say he is injury prone.  He has had two back to back injuries.  But in previous years at tranmere he has played in just about all games.

Great signing! He's going to tear it up in the A-League. Looks like a hard worked and great finisher. Lots of experience.

Quality record and strikes pre 08/09 season stats but only starting 9 in nearly a full season albeit with 10 off the bench is a "worry"..and only 2 goals in 19.  Being a Boro fan I can be bit negative around strikers pedigree versus performance of course...

Bring the season on....

Six goals in Ten appearances, if the injuries stay away he could be good for us ----but how come Fowler goes to Queensland & we get CG.

WE MUST GET ANOTHER STRIKER AS TARGET MAN & COVER, COS ONE UP FRONT DON'T WORK!

Because Fowler is a marquee, and Greenacre isn't.

Greenacre is more our equivalent of the Fury's signing of Jeremy Brockie..
