Chris Greenacre... come on down...

Well he is proven, experienced and successful in a league that Shane (what's his name) didn't succeed in. Isn't that right? Looks a bit better than that Polter guy we were perving at last season, right?

Maybe, maybe not. Porter has one thing going for him that our English friend doesn't in that he's not an import.

This is a bit of a concern, from the match report on the last game of their season against Sc**thorpe overnight

"Ronnie Moore named an unchanged starting line up from the side that drew 1-1 at home to Yeovil. The Manager had hoped to add Chris Greenacre to the side after he returned to training on Friday, but the striker reported a sore knee on Saturday morning and had to watch from the sidelines"

Hope it aint serious, he was obviously coming right

I hope it wasn't anything more than a"sore knee". Ricky might need to order in some tiger balm...

spoke to a few Tranmere fans at the game on Saturday - Greenacre played in a testimonial match last week and did well. All of the ones I spoke to reckon he's a good Div1 player so should be well up to A League standard. Don't think the latest injury is much.

Morning, afternoon, evening (what ever time it is in NZ now). Going to come back to this one but Greenacre a good signing, like for like for departed Shane... am a Mansfield Town supporter for all my sins and we had a great few seasons out of Chris in early noughties.... on link below scroll down to bottom for Stags v Rotherham and select second goal, you will see Chris score a cracking goal.

And if you wonder why I support the Phoenix, I have friends in Wellington and saw a couple of games last seaon while visiting, well one in Wellington and a few on Sky. Got myself shirt and wear it with pride... everyone always asks me about it!

That's good to know. Would have been nice to see all the trialists together and Greeny too.  but hopefully we will have the right men selected. The club has impressed me with the way they have managed to sout out players for trials rather than just signing people they have never seen.
