Underqualified coach who has the players but cant put them together. Why do players all of a sudden turn sh*t when they join us? Because they aren't coached well enough. Because Rikki has no professional experience. Should be sacked.

Sorry its about time the players showed some pride in their performance.To simply say sacking Ricki will solve it to me is wrong,its the players on the park who have given us little and they need to be ashamed to call themselves proffesionals with what they have dished up  so far.

what about timing of substitutions and team selections, the coach must take responsibility for that...?

Read the article above. Rikki does not have a clue. We got EXACTLY what we deserved from that game, Nothing. But i agree the players look disinterested, but so did Tottenhams, but a change of coach has helped them. (it was widely publisised that Ramos did could not get through to the players and had no EXPERIENCE in the english game). Lets look at Herbert NOT GETTING THROUGH TO THE PLAYERS, HAS NO PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE and has no proven track record. We need a fresh approach with someone who is going to inspire the players and get results.

So in the first half prior to the subs coming on (because coaches very rarely sub in the first half) its all Rickis fault they are playing badly?? The players are not performing. Granted a 1-2 personnel changes are now needed but not an overhaul. Again Rickis fault?

You are a muppet. We have a team out there playing crap. Who do not look well drilled and look like they are on the piss all week. Granted there are a few successes in Sigmund, Smeltz and Dodd. I wouldnt count Moss as improving much (he is not even starting and came from a good club anyway where he was reserve keeper) Most of the team looks disinterested, Daniel, Durante, Lochhead, Kwasnik, Gao, Bertos? Should i go on. Bandwagoner? Havent missed a home game. Get a clue.

But Forums are all about opinion, and for this team to turn around, i believe, Herbert must not be the coach. So do others. If none of us had an opinion, this forum would not exist. And if i wasn't passionate about the phoenix succeeding, i wouldnt give a f**k who the coach was.

Hasnt coached at a professional or semi professional outfit in any capacity before this. Every other coach in the league has.

How many other professional sides has he coached? (One I think with the Knights but that can hardly count). Also I think he meant in terms of experience.

Not what I was saying.  I was talking, as were you, about qualifications.  And bare in mind every coach has a first semi-pro/pro team.

Yeah but he has no experience in either at any capacity. Like he hasn't even been an assistant at a pro club. Sorry i put my previous post wrong, he does have qualifications im not doubting that, i should have said inexperienced at this level.

You can be a supporter and still 'knock' particular players or the coach. Being a fan doesn't mean that you have to be a quisling on everything to do with the club.

And by the same token I have to concede you have a point with this paragraph.

I just get f**ked off at so much negativity. Most people don't allow this much negativity into their own home because they know the destructive forces of negativity on the home front. So how can we expect our team to get better when we have so much negativity energy directed towards them and surround them with that vibe from the 'supporters' Moaning about it wont fix the situation. Hell if I was sh*t at work and my boss moaned at me, I certainly wouldn't improve. Thats why employers try to support and encourage employees to lift them out of a funk before they take drastic steps. I've read Rickis take on the game and I don't say I agree but I agree that he needs to support his team and give them positives rather than bash the sh*t out of them and demoralise them further.

Granted we aren't playing well but I honestly do not believe it is not Ricki's fault

1: The players have owned up once saying it wasn't the coaches its us.
2: Terry stuck his nose in encase it was the coach, found out it wasn't and backed him for the season.
3: We have at least 2 players starting (out of 11) that should not be there at the moment, a striker that is now man marked out of the game with double cover and wingers that give mediocre service. We have nothing on the reserves to come in and show a fresh trick other than what has been seen already.

I also believe its not Rickis fault because players go out there wanting to play. You can take a horse to water but can't make it drink and despite all the rah-rah speeches and motivational 'we have to pull this one out boys' getting motivated is an intrinsic value. You either get motivated or you do not. No-one can do that for you. These players know they are in a hole and are still not performing. Thats not coaching, thats players not performing because when you have pride in your performance and yourself/familty name (as I sure everyone does) you have that little bit you pull out to do it for yourself when you need to show some pride. These players aren't doing that.

But we have seen these players motivated before. Durante and Brown for the Jetz, Bertos for Perth (lead assists last year), Lochhead (last year), McKain (was a star before he came here), Daniel (when he first came he was good).....They have all played terrific motivated football before. Why not now?

So how does Ricki show that? Thats player execution not a coaching thing. I can grant you 5 of those 6 but not the last ones. If the players don't kick the ball properly (and we are talking professional footballers here remember) thats is a player performance issue, not a coaching issue.

How often do they say it was the coaches fault, even at Spurs they didn't blame it on the coach and just said something needed to change. They changed there coach and looked what happened 3 games later, 2 wins (one against Liverpool) and 1 draw against Arsenal.

So your saying if you sent a player for a year to be coached by a EPL team you are telling me there skill level wouldn't improve?

1: The coach isn't getting fired. Its written down, quoted, say it anyway you like. Its not happening. So why waste the energy
2: Support the team, don't knock them. Thats players, coaches, anyone.

After all bashing them on this forum has achieved what so far and seen us place where so far this year?? It serves no purpose other than going home and taking the frustration out on the wife/family/friend/pillow etc. I'm pretty sure the players do read this and maybe a different approach is required rather than reading 5000 fans saying 'you are sh*t'

Do not confuse execution shown on the park vs a players skill level. Of course their skill level will improve. Doesn't mean their ability to execute those moves in game does. Execution on the park is a player issue. Growing a players skill base is a coaching issue. Execution generally comes from confidence. If you aren't confident, you generally wont succeed and this teams confidence is in the toilet.

I think you need to take a hard pill.
In England teams are ooed off the pitch  if they put in a crap performance.
Rikki and the team get our support because they are our team. But respect needs to be earned and so far, Rikki Herbert, has not earned enough respect. Because if he did, people will not be wanting him out of the job

Oh yeah Ricki has to answer for somethings as well but this whole situation is not a 'sack Ricki and its fixed'

Gao and Coveny need to be replaced for other players. Only Ricki can do that and thats now probably more glaringly obvious today rather than at any other point in time.
