I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Two actually.  Nicholl's may have been keen to get out of a bench warming contract also.  May actually have been initiated by him.

And then, who may we have lined up ....

Yes new signing announcements must be imminent.

Way who is injured is only being retained for the next 2 weeks, which sounds like is only to met a requirement to have a min number of squad players on contract.

Fair enough too, he barely started and wasnt getting any game time ahead of Singh or Burgess, if he hadn't have seen the writing on the wall then he's not that smart.

If this thread is correct, we have only three players with contracts for next season.

Kurto, And our two under 21's, one admittedly is Singh

Is this just worrying me?

Taylor has a +1 that the club can exercise. But yes, this is a concern.

Well we'll keep a clean sheet with that team at least

I’m sure most will sign on for next season considering our great performances, settled families and quality of life, excluding maybe Sheridan, Mandi who has a heavily pregnant wife in Spain, Rufer who may want to crack Europe again, Dura who may retire, and squaddies e.g. Fox, Lowry, Golec. Or am i optimistic?

Sheridan has said a couple of times that he's enjoying himself and wants a longer term contract.

you’re right, our gain! just need to figure how to best utilise him, doesn’t look comfortable in Williams’ role playing behind a large number of defenders

Kopa will not stay on either (he is on a loan from Legia) unless both him and club want to discuss it.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Yep took that into account, he can't sign on since he's not 'signed' to us in the first place

He'll barely bat an eyelid playing for us away from home in front of WSW or MVU crowds.

And won't take any crap from the opposition team.We need that resilience.

Louis Fenton extends contract untill 2020/2021 season.

Wellington Phoenix are extremely happy to confirm full-back, Louis Fenton, has penned terms on a new two-year contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Either (a) that's a misprint; (b) the Nix are very optimistic about the outcome of the NLWG/licence renewal; (c) there is a chance that Fenton may have a year's worth of free money coming his way.

That signing but more importantly the length is the best contract news I have heard for a long time

Good on him as well, didn't think he had a chance of making it back after being put literaillly out to pasture last season

He has proved me wrong

Yeah, congrats to him. He's a gutsy player that gives his absolute all in a role he's probably not really suited to. Been impressed with how willing he is to motor up and down that wing without ever shirking his defensive duties.

Your not the only one AP think there are plenty of us on here who thought those shoulder injuries were to much to come back from.Genuinely happy for the guy.

Great news on the re-signings. Particularly happy with Rufer putting pen to paper. he's been a vital cog this season, his form's dropped a bit recently but we need him in there.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Indeed, but so has the rest of the teams (bar Kurto and probably Cacace).

Anyway, great news and deserved too!

Has been very bad for the last month or so, but good to see him re-sign.

So it turns out Kurto is actually only on a one year deal...

Not great news for the club, as if we want to keep him we will pretty much certainly need to pay him more than he's on right now.

Yeah, sounds like he'll be gone if they're looking at Marinovic.

I guess if he goes, we have another import spot - silver linings and all that. If we get Marinovic, I'd be reasonably happy.

Would you be interested in an unattached GK who couldn't make it in the MLS if he wasnt a kiwi? Huge, huge downgrade

Ffs he's only on a one year deal!? I really hoped we'd be seeing him next season. A strong back to build our team on.

Nope, and definitely a downgrade; but depends how else we improve our team with our import spot.
